excellent variations on traditional mex plates. The food in this place is top notch. I love Mexican food particularly taqueria food. This place takes it up a notch on both and does not gouge your for the hell of it. Now on to their bar. I have never understood why when a place bills itself as an expert on something why they double their prices. They don’t pour a shot of tequila better than anyone else but they sure charge like it. I mean yes they have high end tequilas but their regular shots are $3-$4 more than anywhere else. They are so proud of their margaritas that you better bring your black Amex if you intend on having more than a couple.

Keep you drinking to a minimum here and you will be fine. Great place to start off the night but get your drink on elsewhere…

$4 Margs during Giants Games. This is a good spot to go before/during/after a Giants game. During the game margaritas are only $4! and they are pretty strong! A whole game time filled with $4 margaritas made for a good game! I didn't get to try out the food, but the place was packed with people grubbing, so I'm guessing it's pretty good! When the Giants game ended the bar got WAY too packed for my liking, so I left. :( But I will be back for more $4 margs in the very near future!…

Excellent tequila, charming servers & great Mexican food!. If you want the real deal on all levels go to Tres Agaves. I recently went with a group of friends for margaritas and some various dishes. We really enjoyed the fish tacos and the guacamole was insanely good! We also had some of the slow cooked carnitas ? mmmmm?.so good. However you have to try the tequilas. We had a tasting party and learned about the real history of tequila. No shot glasses here, all tastings were served in appropriate spirits glasses. We had a fabulous time.…

Won't be returning. This place has gone WAY downhill since my last visit. Even on a ball-game night it wasn't filled. Totally overpriced, service mediocre, the only thing I enjoyed (at not as much as I used to) were the margaritas. We would have been better off eating at Chevy's. I won't return.…
