Great Saturday Night Spot. I have been to this place only twice, but Both times the Music was Great the Mojitos were just as good. We will definatly be going back there on a Saturday night.
Slice of Havana. This place feels like a slice of Havana right here in SF. Be sure to go on a live music night - the 15-piece Latin band Grupo Fantasma was there this month and had the place overflowing into the street. Plus people were really getting down, so it was super HOT - though the ceiling fans and open doors between sets cooled things down. Bring earplugs too, 'cause things can get loud. Super tasty food, great music, beautiful women - I was gonna just stop by and ended up staying all night. A very cool vibe and a unique hang. Definitely worth checking out.

I think Tuesdays they have a crazy special where everything is $2, but I'm not sure. Definitely worth checking out.
Best Looking Female Clientel.
Great, welcoming atmosphere. Owners make a special effort to make you feel like you are a member of a private club. Cuban food fused with Chinese spices, makes for some of the best black beans, rice and tacos, I've ever had. The Mojitos are handmade, with just the right touch of rum, so as not to overwhelm the refreshing fresh mint flavor. Watch the bartenders plunge the wooden muddler into the carafes to release the delicate flavor of fresh mint. Don't expect to get blindsided by the kickers in these drinks, they are so well engineered that you can drink them all night, and still enjoy the subtle flavors, plus a nice buzz to boot.
The music is simply unbeliveable. I will never forget jazz great Henry Butler's soulful tribute to the survivors of Katrina.
Why the title best lookin' gals? I felt that owners and bartenders set a tone of good service, watch out for their customers, and give woman customers the feeling that they can come here, socialize, make a new friend, in a comfortable but, jammin' atmosphere.
Look up owners John, and Ali. They make you feel like family.
This is a place to return to again and again for the music, food, Mojitos, and friends.
The coldest restaurant in SF. The food was very good and the portions were great for 3 of us. But there IS NO HEAT. I wish they could make it more cozy. I never write reviews but I had to warn you.
Cuban-influenced dining and live music heat things up in North Beach.. Experience a bit of Key West in North Beach at this wide-open cocktail bar and Cuban eatery, where flavorful choices such as grilled plantains and tangy sauteed shrimp camarones average between $4 and $6. A hayloft DJ station overlooks the 15-table dining area and live-music stage. Fresh murals in blues, greens and burnt reds offset the enormous, old-time bar topped with shellacked stone. High above, a row of ceiling fans cools down the spicy scene.
