Cheap clothes, avoid on weekends!. I always stop by H & M when I go up north, even though we now have stores in SoCal too- Nothing beats this two-story haven... We went on a weekend so it was packed! The dressing room lines were so long, my friends and I were just trying on clothes on top of our clothes. However, this store has the goods when it comes to decent quality, definitely affordable clothes! Also, the sizing system is a bit different than the usual American store (I think they follow the European sizing scale??), so every size is actually smaller then we're used to (i.e. a size 4 at H&M would probably be a size 2 at other stores), so beware and grab the right sizes before you wait in those extremely long lines!
West Coast flagship of the European export offers trendy clothing and accessories for women, men and teens at low prices..
In Short
Born in rural Sweden in 1947, this global brand now houses stores in 24 countries. Their mantra is "fashion and quality at the best price," and, perhaps, this is what makes them so popular the world over. So follow the crowds and stop by for their coveted partnership merchandise from designers like Viktor & Rolf, a teen and ladies line and an array of accessories and lingerie.
Cheap - You get the Service You Pay For.
While H&M is undeniably cheap and has hips clothes for less, I have never had a simple or convenient experience there. I admit, I go there fairly often but when I do, the lines to the dressing room are obscene, the lines to check out are even longer, and there is almost never anyone to assist with anything whatsoever. They are not rude, just nonexistent.
As you can, though, the prices are worth it. I got a men's dress shirt for about $12, a suit jacket for about 50, and a very cute bathing suit for about $15. Just make sure you are not already annoyed or in a rush if you stop by - it is a lengthy ordeal...
