Editorial Review for Zara – by Stephanie Laemoa
In Short
CEOs and teenagers alike can find something within the brightly lit and spacious three-floor store, which offers business, evening and casual wear for men and women. Lending a European twist to current trends, one can find unique items, like body-hugging safari coats or bullfighter-inspired jackets, alongside sleek and sophisticated pieces, like dress pants in classic cuts and cashmere scarves in understated colors. A children's section and a shoe department round out the collection.

I went to Zara on a friend's recommendation--what a disappointment. The main impression I have is the memory of the explicit rap lyrics blaring out of the speakers. Who wants to shop in a store that has such obnoxious, offensive music? Why am I hearing the "N-word" while I'm in a store anywhere--let alone peaceful, progressive San Francisco?!! There were all ages of women in there---they even sell kids' clothes. Who are they targeting with that style of shopping music? A mom shopping with her daughter?!! Since there wasn't one sales person or manager available, I thought the music was some employee's personal taste showing. However, after reading these other reviews and trying to contact Zara through their ineffective website, I'm convinced that this company just doesn't have much respect for their clientele. The clothes were cheap looking, too. So NOT worth your valuable shopping time in San Francisco.

If you have a hot date or spilled something on your shirt, go to zara! i always find something super cute and super cheap. i like the euro flair. the staff does seem busy all the time, but they are always nice to me and help me find the hidden treasures. i highly recomend!
Pros: cheap, cute clothes, nice staff
Cons: no parking! open a store in the eastbay!
