Editorial Review for Bia's Restaurant & Wine Bar – by Marcia Gagliardi
In Short
Neighborhood couples and tourists are happy to take a break and chill in this eclectic hippie-fied space replete with plants, brightly painted walls and folk music. On sunny days, the back patio is a secluded spot for a glass of wine off the extensive list, and staff fires up the heat lamps in the evening. Dishes, made with organic ingredients, include grilled salmon filet with basil-pesto aioli and grilled lamb sirloin with rosemary and wild mushroom sauce.

This was by far the worst experience in a restaurant I've ever had-- the waitress yelled at me and actually kicked me out for asking to see the check! After halfheartedly picking at a wilting salad drowned in mediocre dressing, and drinking a flat soda, I sat at a rather grimy corner table reading a book. After clearing away my plate, the waitress, who claimed to be the owner, rudely told me that I owed her 14.25. I handed her the money, and asked her politely if I could please see the bill. She then yelled at me that I should leave and never come back to her restaurant. That shouldn't be a problem.
Pros: None
Cons: Verbally Attacked by Owner, Bad Food

this place has excellent food, i have eaten at lots of places on haight and this by far has the best food. pastas are excellent, risotto cakes, kebabs chocolate souflee all excellent. it is a mediterean style menu but cant go wrong ordering anything from this. the also have some excellent wines. i have been going to Bia's for 2 years now, il ive in the neighbourhood, its a family run business which is nice to see in these times. staff are sweet, owners are very accomadating and athmosphare is superb. i have the most relaxing time when ieat there, i like the fact that its never too crazy busy except on sunday brunches but you have the garden to keep you happy, they have the only outdoor seating on the haight. i highly recommend it!!!!!!!!
Pros: food, ambience
Cons: parking
