SIP BAR & LOUNGE

Oh yeah, where the old Blind Tiger used to be...

  • 21 & Over with Valid ID Only
  • Bottle Service Available , Private Parties Welcome
  • Hip-hop DJ's Fri/Sat 10pm

Classy-dive-bar on the border of North Beach and Chinatown.

On weeknights, we're a laid-back bar & lounge where you can have a few drinks & chat with new & old friends.

On the weekends, we turn into a dance club with amazing DJs spinning hip-hop, top 40, rnb & 80's.

In either case, you can expect:

No attitude.

No dresscode.

No cover.

Editorial Review for SIP BAR & LOUNGE – by Daniel Liszt

The Scene
A 20-foot-long bar with mauve, padded elbow rests is backed by a long mirror that reflects images from the opposite wall, which serves as a projection screen for subtitled films and concert specials. Beneath the projection wall, a W-shaped alcove is lined with thin velvet pillows while low black tables hold minglers' designer drinks. An elevated room offers reserved seating next to a faux fireplace.

The Draw
Decor is sexy, but the attitude is inclusive--personable bartenders might introduce themselves and even remember your name later in the night. Staff slings inventive drinks, such as a cosmo mixed with white cranberry juice, and there's rarely a cover charge, even after 10pm, when DJs spin hip-hop and pop tunes. The brown-brick building is located just far enough from North Beach central to feel like a hidden find.

I met the cute bartender John Eric after taking one of the Tuesday night pole dancing classes they offer there during non business hours. He set me up with a cosmopolitan that was exactly the way I like it after my workout. Where else can you relax like that after taking a pole dance lesson, which by the way, was amazing. I didn't realized what a workout pole dancing could be until the next day - I guess I was having too much fun doing the class to notice. The instructor was really cool and knew her stuff if your interested in the classes check out the website for Pole La Teaze, if your interested in the bartender i think he's already taken. Angel

I reserved a VIP table for my 12 guests for 10/27. I reserved event thru emails and felt very accomadated by manager. I arrived with my guests and Eric came out to greet me. He set up my guests at the larger VIP area and our bottle service and mixers were delivered as promised on silver platters and buckets. The whole evening Eric came by to ask if my party needed anything. I was very happy with the service, atmoshere (halloween weekend and lots of costumes) and staff. Its small, stylish and inviting. I highly recommend getting the table service if your group is 6 or more. AND the DJ was on fire that night. I would and WILL go again.

Pros: Great staff, customer service and atmoshere...No drama at all.

Cons: None at all....
