Editorial Review for Church Street Apothecary – by Dena Smolek
In Short
A neon green cross above the door leads into a nicely lit, clean space stocked with homeopathic remedies, beauty products, baby goods, and gift items. This neighborhood shop, modeled after an old-school apothecary, does offer basic pharmacy products like Advil and Tylenol behind the counter, but the majority of quaint wooden shelves are filled with higher-end holistic and organic toiletries. Peruse shelves and drawers for everything from medicinal teas and bulk organic herbs to candles and bath tablets.

It was Mother’s Birthday. I didn’t know what to do only Church Street Apothecary came to my mind. It has everything from Cosmetics & Beauty Supply, Toy Stores, Cards & Stationery, Newspapers & Magazines, and Kitchen & Bath etc. I went there. I was really embarrassed. My niece and nephews were there shopping for their mom. And then we also met up with my Mummy and my Sister-in-Law who had come here to buy gifts for us. We were embarrassed to see each other but then we laughed and completed our shopping. So you know it is our family shop. Whenever we want to express our love to each other we just come here.
Pros: Great Variety of stuff available
Cons: Could be a bit less expensive

Outer Noe (30th and Church) may not be the busiest area, but it's so quaint for being within SF city limits-- Church Street Apothecary totally adds to the neighborhood. They have lots of nice bath items I'd rather not have to go down to 24th street for-- and they have lots of nice gifts especially for infants. Family run, well devised, the owners certainly have a vision. Hope they will succeed in this tough retail enviroment.
Pros: Gifts, Convenience, Smells really good
Cons: Not many flowerr
