A North Beach Hit. As North Beach residents, we are qualified to say that this is the best addition to the neighborhood in years, and it's destined to last. That's because the food is excellent, the prices are great, and the owner and his staff are friendly and knowledgeable. We've been there now for multiple breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, and everything we've had has been superb. It's also a wonderful place to sit outside on a sunny afternoon (yes, we do get them periodically in San Francisco) with a nice bottle of wine. Welcome to the neighborhood. We look forward to years of hanging out here!

A European Gem in North Beach. This beautiful, light-filled cafe over looking Washinton Square Park is a real jewel. Try the pizza with carmelized onions and fried sage or one of their pasta dinners; the English Pea Ravioli is truely 'divine'! They have lots of nice wines by the glass and delicious, house-made desserts. The Extra Penance chocolate cake is a must try.
