Taking a cue from the nearby Ferry Building Farmer's Market, "fast food" here features high-quality ingredients from sustainable, small-batch artisans and farmers. Fresh, local, organic produce, free-range meats, artisanal breads and cheeses comprise tasty mid-day salads and sandwiches. Breakfast begins at 7:30am, and features flatbread frittata "pizzas" and toasty tartines. Convenient, casual UnionSquare/Financial District location is pretty enough for sit-down fare, though it can get cramped and noisy. Take-out is encouraged.

Local food, organic food, sustainable food - you get what you pay for. It's high-quality and delicious and aesthetically appealing. This is the first Seller's Market, and the people seem friendly enough. In the busy hours, you get a buzzing thing to tell you your food is ready. They are supplied by local businesses Niman Ranch, Boulangerie Bay Breads, award-winning cheese providers to include Point Reyes Blue, Cowgirl Creamery, Cypress Grove and Equator Estate Coffee??????s & Tea??????s. They also have a built-in tax so that their workers can get insurance and other benefits.

Despite the high prices, I?ve grabbed lunch at Sellers Market a few times because it?s convenient to my office and the food usually tastes good. On both of my last two visits though, I got the steak sandwich and was hugely disappointed. Yes, I should have learned the first time not to order it again, but I believe in second chances, so I tried it twice. What a mistake! The steak sandwich is a joke. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that they use less than an ounce of meat on the sandwich. Both times I ordered this sandwich, I lifted up the bread and found just four pathetic slivers of beef and then some rubbery mushrooms thrown in as filler. I ended up dissecting what they gave me, taking the contents of one half to fill the other half, and the combined half-sandwich still disappointed. $10 for that? You?ve got to be kidding me! When they called it Sellers Market they weren?t kidding ... because the buyer is getting ripped off. From now on I?ll walk the extra couple of blocks to Focaccia ... it?s overpriced too, but at least their sandwiches have something between the bread.

If you are into sustainable foods with great flavors and fast service from a great looking staff that cares this place is for you! My friends and I have been raving about this place since it opened and are now concerned that we may not get a seat on their huge out door sunny patio. I don't know what is better the food or the view of all the beautiful people! I Love this place!
