Awesome for my company's luncheon!. I ordered from here and they accommodated my company luncheon greatly! The pizza tasted so good! The ingredients are fresh and the pizzas were made to order. They even provided all of the utensils, plates, napkins, red peppers, parmesan cheese and left no details out... I was fully pleased and so was the team! Thank you very much! The only thing was... the salads are huge and pricey! So we basically only needed one and that would've satisfied everyone. I ordered 3 by mistake. Trial and error... haha....
Surfer-themed pizza joint with a California attitude..
In Short
It's easy to "get stoked" about this parlor, part of a chain with surfer roots in Capitola Beach. Hand-tossed gourmet pizza comes thin and crispy or Sicilian style, with flavorful toppings such as those found on the D'Lex: chicken, mushrooms, smoked bacon, red onions and garlic sauce. Surfer paraphernalia makes you wish you were at the beach. Bar-hoppers can grab a slice until 2am on weekends.
Better and More Authentic Than Any Other in SF.
When I moved to SF back in January '06 from NYC I began searching for an authentic slice of NY Style pizza. I've tried every supposed NY style pizza place this site has recommended. Pizza my Heart is truly as close as you can get to a good cheap slice of NY style pizza. The surfer motif doesn't really bring back memories of Brooklyn, but at least they serve a plain cheese slice and there are jars of oregano, crushed red pepper, garlic, and parmesan to sprinkle on your nice, fresh, foldable slice of pizza.
BTW, I went to a certain place in the Mission that many former NY'ers claim has authentic pizza. I took one look at the dried out excuse of a pizza at the counter where I was ignored and I walked out (no, being rude doesn't make your pizzaria authentic).
