Soft tofu soup is the thing to order at My Tofu House, but there are nine different versions. The soup with chewy rice dumplings and tender beef is particularly hearty and satisfying. Like all the soups, it comes with a variety of banchan or small dishes including fried fish, kimchi and pickles. Order it as spicy as you like.

One of the best spots in SF for Soon Tofu Soup. From seafood, to kimchi you can't beat the great deal with all the banchan (Korean sides).
Friendly... Family Oriented. The Tofu soup is what kept me going back! The service was awsome, especially when the ajima was there... she welcomes and goodbyes me in and out. The korean guy server there was pretty cute... at least something to look at while waiting for the food to come. The first time when I went there was with the entire high school badminton team and they tried their best service on our picky little girls. Several times with I went there with my close friends, they gave us prompt seatings. When I went with my parents, I feel like this is a family oriented restaruant. Not a lot of variety to choose, but if you crave for something specific and traditional, this is the place to go for!
Spicy tofu soup is the star at this popular inner Richmond Korean eatery, but don't mistake it for a vegetarian restaurant..
In Short
Sundubu, spicy Korean tofu soup, is the specialty here, and arrives loaded with meats and seafood (or can be prepared with kim chee for vegetarians); the accompanying egg should be cracked into the broth while it's still boiling. A selection of Korean barbecued meats are also on offer, and all meals are served with the usual panchan--small dishes of kimchee, salted fish and assorted pickled things. Korean food lovers come here solely for the eats: Service and decor are no frills.
Delicious cheap Korean comfort food.
Finally made it over to My Tofu House per friends' recommendations. I have to preface this by mentioning that my omani can throw down in the kitchen so I is spoiled.
It's a good sign when there is already a line at 6pm on a Friday night. An even better sign? When a lot of people in said line are Korean. For a party of 4, we didn't wait long but it's a small place so I wouldn't recommend going with a crowd.
The banchan (small side dishes) were solid --- about 6 different kinds, good variety, and tasty so we had to get refills. I ordered the seafood dubuchigae. I would recommend getting the medium level of spiciness. My friend ordered mild which she found to be too mild but she added some kimchi to it so problem solved. I thought the chigae was great! This is evidenced by the fact that even though my mind was saying: must... stop... eating... my stomach was saying: mmm... want ... more! Next thing I knew, I was scraping the bottom of the chigae bowl and feeling the onset of a severe food coma.
The service was friendly but not attentive since there were only 2 servers for everyone. But for yummy chigae for $10, who's stressing? Also, if you are looking for ambiance or fab decor My Tofu House is not the place for you.
Best Dak Gui (chicken) and Tofu Soup!.
I've been coming here for almost 2 years and I have to say it is the best for the Tofu Soup and grilled chicken! Selection is simple - kind of like In-N-Out, but tastes great!
My favorite neighborhood korean restaurant.
The Only Tofu House in SF. I've been going here since they first opened and I have been pleased with every single meal. I've been to tofu places in NY and Seattle and this one is just up to par. I've tried their seafood and kimchee tofu soups along with the bbq beef and spicy pork. They all hit the spot and are very authentic. I hope they don't change.
The best Tofu in the US.
I love it! This is my most favorite Korean restaurant in SF.
I have had every Korean soft tofu in almost every Korean town from coast to coast, but this is the best. If you love hot and spicy, you cannot miss this boiling melting pot.
Barbecues are also fantastic. Juicy and soft Kalbi is my real favorite.
It is usually crowded every evening, especially weekend, so you'd better hurry.
tofu at a good value....
the soft tofu stews are great. haven't tried anything else on the menu, but they seem a tad overpriced.
service is horrible.
