Quaint and Quiet. This is the most enchanting coffee shop on Nob Hill. Right next to where the cable car takes its loud turn down Hyde, Nook is really just that, a little nook. Cozy wood benches and chairs feel like little personal cubicles all lit by candlelight. The staff are polite and poignant, and definitely not your typical run-of-the-mill baristas. The prime times here are middle morning for the bagels and free WiFi, and late evening for drink specials and wine selections. In reality, there is really no bad time to enjoy this little gem.

fantastic neighborhood spot!. this is my go to in nob hill- love the bagel sandos, $2 happy hour wine and daily soup specials.

great coffee shop. Nook is the kind of place that you are scared will one day disappear as the encroaching virus of big-business coffee eats further and further away at the core of america. Ok maybe that is a bit overstated, but seriously Nook is very charming. The waitstaff is a motley bunch but very friendly. The coffee and food are above average, but the ambience exudes 90's beatnik appeal.

Super cute coffee shop. Crowded on the weekends, but if you can grab a table the food and ambiance are worth it. The apple and walnut salad is amazing!!

It just can not get better! Superb Place! Thanks!. It is just not the coffee which is great. All food items are freshly made with a excellent quality. This will certainly be my local from now on!

Feel at home at the corner!. Nook is a very cosy and friendly place with great food and drinks. the coffee is perfect and i really LOVE the bagels especially the smoked salmon. i like to be there in the morning sitting at a window table or outside in the sun. at night there is a great ambience with candles on the table - just right to meet a friend for a glass of wine or a sake cocktail. go there and enjoy!

Not just the Java. Best place to grab a bowl of oatmeal in the morning and a wonderful glass of wine in the eve. Too bad it's not "just around the corner" for me.

Perfect Overall. Couldn't ask for a better place to have a Saturday/Sunday brunch or a glass of wine after work. The food is super, the service is fantastic and the atmosphere is perfect for gathering with friends at small tables or enjoying a coffee and newspaper by yourself.

So cute!. I'm so glad I have a place like this a hop skip and a jump away from me. I love the atmosphere the food, and the people. The only bad thing about it is that it can get crowded on the weekends!

They have delicious cafe mochas, and sandwiches. Oh and their olive tapenade and hummus platter served with warm pita bread is yummy! You can pick something up, sit and eat while playing on your computer or reading, or bring someone in to join you in cheering at the passing cable cars while you sit outside.

The people who work here are so nice too!
