San Francisco Wedding Photographer - IQphoto

Above and beyond.... When my fiance and I decided to elope at San Francisco City Hall, I knew that I wanted to have a top notch photographer to capture the special day. However, after looking at website after website, I couldn't find a portfolio that spoke to me...until I found IQphoto. Just go to the website and you'll see what I mean!

I called Joseph (I think it was a Thursday) and asked if he was available on the upcoming Monday (elopement day). He explained that it was his father's birthday on that day but that he would alter his schedule so that he could shoot our wedding. I would never ask for or expect anyone to make such an accommodation, but he knew this was an important day for me and my husband and he promised to be there.

I was late getting to City Hall but he was a real gentleman about it. When i finally got there, he went right to work and it was obvious he was a real pro. He knew exactly where to go to get the really great shots. He even stayed beyond the two hour time slot we booked because he wanted to make sure to get some late afternoon shots (with the awesome lighting) of me and my new husband. Very classy.

And of course, I just got the photos and they are beautiful!

Great photos in San Francisco!. First, we had fun!!! and the outcome was great,:) as a couple we wanted to have good pictures with a different view, not the normal pose with the same smile, Joseph really made us feel comfortable and that reflected on the pictures.

We came from Colombia on our honeymoon to San Francisco because we had cancelled two years ago, Marina and Joseph were helpful to set up the times and the time frame we had.

It was a great experience and I would do it again!…

Work of Art. Not just wedding photos but works of art!!! If you want your pictures to be as special as your wedding day (or even more special), look no further than Joseph at IQphoto. It all started when my husband (then fiance) and I approached Joseph at IQphoto for our engagement photos. He took us on a tour of San Francisco, made us feel comfortable, and nurtured the inner divas in both of us. The pictures turned out amazing and, though we did not plan to hire a CA based photographer for our destination wedding, we just had to invite him along.

So, it was not long before he was boarding the Celebrity Century out of the Port of Miami for a 4 day, 4 night cruise to Key West and, finally, Cozumel, where we were married.

Having Joseph along for the journey was a such a wonderful experience. He truly captured the excitement of the moment. Our friends and family cannot stop talking about the jaw dropping images we took away from our special day and the days preceding it. Just yesterday, a good friend who could not attend the wedding told my husband that these were the best wedding pictures he had ever seen, hands down.

And it is not just about the final outcome; it is also about the experience. Joseph let us be ourselves and captured the beauty of the moment, the smiles, the laughter, the love. He created images that truly reflect us, our personalities, and the mood of our amazing cruise wedding.

Joseph is worth every penny. We got married July 1 2009 at SF City Hall, just the two of us and Joseph (and an associate who's name I've forgotten - sorry!). There are a couple of other photographers who offer 'City Hall packages', but Joseph's work stands out way above the rest! He knows how City Hall works, and this is a huge help when the bride and groom are both nervous, and unsure of where to go and what to do when first arriving.

Who knew that after 18 years together we'd be nervous! :)

Joseph shot a lot of photos while we were waiting before the ceremony - and he was so unobtrusive that after a few minutes I forgot about the cameras.

Since Joseph has so much experience shooting at SF City Hall, he knows where to take the best photos. It's such a beautiful building, and he is able to capture it in just the right way.

For our secondary location we chose the top of Russian Hill - it has some amazing views of the city, and is also where we lived when we first moved to SF. Joseph had never been there before, but after just a few minutes of study, it was as if he knew exactly what we had imagined!

I am in no way photogenic, and am overly emotive - so photos of me do not usually turn out very well. (Yes I'm the Chandler Bing in this relationship, as my husband always looks good in photos) I know I must have been a very difficult subject for him , but Joseph took it in stride, and produced some of the best photos of us, ever.

On top of that, our photos were ready much earlier than expected. I had never heard of a wedding photographer editing and releasing photos that fast! Not to mention the fact that he releases the original files instead of holding them hostage for a year like many other wedding photographers.

I would treasure our wedding photos no matter what, but am so happy that they turned out even better than I had hoped.…
