Great Wine Bar!. A perfect place to sip fabulous wines and chat with friends. (A good spot for a date as well). The atmosphere is sophisticated and modern. The staff was really helpful and knowledgeable. Most importantly, the wine was out of this world!!

A great first date place.... Awesome place to meet for a first date, the staff is super knowledgable and ready to give a fun wine lesson on tuscan varietals and wine making, in a romantic atmosphere. You can even do some food pairing with some small plates, italian cheeses and charcuterie, and antipasti. A fun place to meet friends for the start of the evening, or to end up at the end of the night for a night cap of dessert wine and truffles.

Great Wine, Great Location, Okay Service. Great wine selections, great location .... service is okay, you feel as if you are a burden on the staff. I have been there on several occasions and watched people sit down, wait and then walk out, that stinks!! A bit pricey and the appetizers are okay, but a bit of a rip-off.

Somewhat Sterile Atmosphere. I went here for a small function with about eight people. While there might have been one or two other small groups of two or three, the place was almost entirely empty. The staff was helpful, although our server did not appear excited or passionate about the wine selections. Overall, my experience at Viansa seemed bland. I would go back if someone invited me there, but I'm unlikely to go back on my own.

This bright wine bar brings Sonoma Valley to the Financial District.. In Short
Sunlight dancing through picture windows and garlic-shaped hanging lamps brightens this hybrid marketplace and wine bar. Approximately 100 grape lovers can huddle at the white marble bar or on sofas as they sample vintages from the Viansa winery, one of the country's largest producers of Italian-style wines. Four food-pairing platters complement the vino--from a nuts and olives medley to cookies and truffles.

Good, not great. We arrived in the late evening on a Saturday night. We very much enjoyed our wines, and the staff seemed very knowledgeable (if a bit contrived), but we were dismayed that they were out of two of the main appetizers (and they didn't offer that much to begin with -- how about a nice fondue, as we've had elsewhere?), so we had to change our plans and go somewhere else afterward to grab a bite. Also, although our wine "flight" was interesting and very good (I believe we had the robust tuscans), we found it to be way overpriced. I'm not sure if we would go back -- the ambiance was cool, although a bit sparse, and we'd probably go again with friends -- but we'd definitely order by the glass instead of the flights, and we'd eat first!

Fantastico!!!!. What a fabulous experience!!! Great atmosphere, awesome decor, unique and exclusive wines that impressed my clients, wonderful food, and fantastic and fun service provided by a great staff of educated professionals that really know wine and also know how to give great service and have a good time. The place is happening and has a great mix of people from the Financial District crowd to Union Square shoppers to tourists and locals because of its ideal location. My friends, business contacts, and clients will be hitting Enoteca all the time beacause it is truly the new hot spot in SF. Check it out for yourself. You will not be dissappointed. I actually joined their wine club because the wines are so good and I wanted to be on their invite list for private parties just for members. It is so cool.

Best wine bar in the city!. I love this new wine bar, and even my beer-loving boyfirned loves to go there. The wines are all fabulous, and the flights are really fun. It has a beautiful atmosphere and the staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. If you are looking for a fun atmosphere where you can hear your friends talk while sipping excellent wine you found it!

Good wine.. Good wine, nice atmosphere, fun location near china town. Wine was a bit over priced compared to other sf winebars. Good place to go if you want to sit around and talk, or impress a date.

Wonderful wine bar!. My wife and I love stopping in here regularly whenever we're shopping downtown or meeting up with friends. It's got a great selection of wines from Viansa Winery in Sonoma, some of the best we've ever had! It's a great place for us to kick back with some glasses of wine and people watch, chat or learn more about Italian wines! It's also perfect for a glass of wine before lunch or even a weekend hangout.
