Soma's art/bar lounge trend at it's best!. This art gallery bar is a bit hard to find if you don't know of it. Once you find it you will tell your friends about it. A great spot for the SoMa afterwork crowd to enjoy happy hour. Great ambiance and friendly bartenders. Tiffany is great. She's always coming up with new recipes for amazing cocktails and is excited to do so. The ever changing art work always gives this hip but not to trendy lounge a new look and feel. And the DJ's on the weekends have the skills that get the crowd moving.
Cool Neighborhood Spot with a Great Vibe. Friendly service, interesting mix of people, good music, what more do you need? With so few places to hang out in this 'hood, the Gallery Lounge is a lifesaver. Can vary from busy to very laid back, but you're always going to feel welcome.
The perfect mix!. I really enjoy this bar/lounge. The crowd has a unique balance usually not found in the city. The bartenders are great, the art is fun, and I really don't feel out of my element. You can wear jeans and a t-shirt or a 3-piece suit. It all works. This is the perfect place for a date or a casual drink. I'll be back I am sure.
New SoMa spot. I've been here a couple times for cocktails. During the first visit on a Friday night, the bar was packed and the bartender had trouble keeping up the pace. The wait for drinks was easily 10 minutes, possibly more. The second time I met some friends here, the staff was filled out and there weren't any issues with waiting in line. I think they've found their groove. Given the limited options for after-work drinks in the area, this is a fine destination.
SoMa den featuring global beers, DJs and rotating exhibits..
The Scene
As the work day wraps up, white-collars walk here to unwind. During weekends, 20-something dates might cohabitate with 30-somethings painting the town. The rectangular room makes the most of its cozy space: red crushed-velvet movie chairs sit near the entrance, foreshadowing a rosy theme throughout. Track lighting illuminates wall art, while a low-key disco ball glows in a far corner. The bar area is backed with angled mirrors, perfect for scoping the artwork or eye-candy sitting on the banquette running the length of the opposite wall.
The Draw
In addition to signature cocktails made with Skyy vodka, there's an outstanding selection of import beer bottles. On a cold night, savvy swillers gravitate toward a rich Celebrator Dopplebock. On select nights, DJs mix sultry house tunes, accompanied by artsy visuals on TVs flanking the bar.
