The Scene – Exposed-brick perimeters and multi-patterned banquettes afford the space a chic NYC aesthetic; dance music drips from speakers camouflaged within thin wood ceiling beams. Myth recalls a certain 1999 optimism and welcomes a local, sophisticated set. The white and silver open-kitchen showcases an army of neatly dressed staff, who serves at a protracted European pace. Hair in Food

by Sinkaid

Found a blonde hair in my food (mine is black). Not expected from any restaurant, let alone a "high end" restaurant. Food wasn't good enough to justify us going back.

a pleasant evening

by sfconsumer

A beautiful restaurant, very nicely designed, and we've always liked the service. We have noticed a bit of a falling off on the food, however, particularly (during each of our last couple of visits), the hamburger, which used to be much better. Prices for food and wine are outstanding.

Best San Francisco Chef

by leftbank

I made my reservation for a party of 6 over a month ago and it was worth the wait. The staff is courteous and knows the menu.

About the food: absolutely hands down the best restaurant in San Francisco, now I know why Sean O'Brien was selected as one of The Best New Chef's in Food and Wine Magazine July issue. His food is delicate and complex; the sweet breads with bacon are the best I have ever had. His relaxed approch allows him to serve hamburgers as well as black cod with maitakes, salsify and bacon jus. I cannot wait to go back to Myth.
