With walls painted in descriptive earth-toned scenes, diners at this curry joint might forget they're in the middle of a busy Inner Sunset strip. While visitors chit chat over a free cup of tea, friendly staffers serve up piles of tandoori-style meats, biryanis and, of course, plenty of curry for carnivores and vegetarians alike.
Best food I've ever had!
by Sydius
I've been going here for years and I always order the same thing: lamb tikka masalla, garlic cheese naan, rice, and mango lassi. I can't come to San Fransisco without stopping by; it's simply my very most favorite food. I couldn't rate it highly enough, and its affordability is a huge plus. I'd be obese if I lived closer to this place.
- Pros: Lamb Tikka Masalla

This place has awesome, reasonably priced curries, naan, and other tasty Indian dishes. The services is quick and friendly, and the free chai tea while you wait is a nice extra bonus. If you're looking for Indian food in the inner sunset, this is your place!

Tasty Curry rocks, plain and simple. Everything is cheap yet tastes like more expensive Indian food, Chai is free and everyone is super friendly. The owner is awesome as well, he thanked me for bringing people in even though I hadn't been there in at least 6 months, he remembered me; used to go in all the time when I lived up the street. I miss this place, wish their where Indian food this good in the Mission.
- Pros: Food, Service
- Cons: none
The Details on Tasty Curry
Know Before You Go:
Don't think this will be your only chance to try the special chicken karahi, chicken jalfarzi and aloo or matar keema posted up front--the specials never change.
The Extras:
Two words: fresh naan. Watch them hand-make it in big cylindrical ovens through the window at the front or experience the site and smell first-hand from the dining room.
