Trust in Daniel, people. I just moved here from west van, BC 6 mos ago and started seeing Daniel on the advice of a coworker. What a recommendation! Not only do I love his no-nonsense attitude and sense of professionalism, but the gorgeous hilights and beautiful colour as well; my mousy brown hair has never looked this chic until now. I don't know who wouldn't love Daniel, either.

Thinking of going blond? GO GILLIAN!!!. If you are considering a radical change to your looks, or even just want a great opinion of how to spruce yourself up - think of checking out the bella union and Gillian Hanson. In the past I have always done my own hair (I'm a guy who never really cared) - but through the advice of a friend I checked out bella union and gillian - she rocks! Discussed what we could do - and made me feel comfortable with my choices - gave a great cut - then kicked bum on the color!

Its' been tuning heads.

Its' gotten me layd.

Its' made my mama love me again.

Its' given me a promotion at work.

I've only had it for a week.

- no really she's very professional, uses from what I can tell great products - the salon is very bright and clean - and I've gotten nothing but compliments - and heads turning - since she redid my do.

Best beauty salon. Gene Palmer has given me the best haircuts I?ve ever had. The demands of my business often require a perfect-looking cut on short notice, and Gene is always accommodating. He has done my hair for years, and I?ve had the pleasure of his talent in San Francisco as well as at his salon in Pasadena and the outcome is always the same ? excellent! There?s no one better.

Happy head! and fantastic hair - Gene rocks!!. Gene gave me happy hair! ~ along with a scalp massage that did my attitude wonders, color that actually gave my hair depth/highlights and a cut that makes my hair do what I want for a change, for the first time ever people actually stop me on the street and tell me how great it looks. I love his snappy patter and his professional yet friendly attitude While I would go back just for the head massage what he does with my hair will keep me part of his fan-club.

Great place for a haircut & style!. The Bella Union is awesome. Totally friendly staff, cute place and neighborhood. Gillian is a great stylist, I've been going to her for more than 2 years. She always keeps me current yet sophisticated and I am really picky about my hair! She has taken me to super layered (more arty) to a more subtle cute cut (more power creative.) She is a talent with scissors, versatile and super nice to boot.

Gillian is the best!. I love Gillian! She does my hair exactly the way I want. The color is the best and she changes it to whatever I want. If she thinks it might not be suitable, she tactfully sets me straight. I have known her for many years and I have never seen her lose her cool. She cuts my fine hard to handle hair with perfection. Call Gillian at the Bella Union--you won't be sorry.

Excellent Salon. I don't trust anyone but Gillian at Bella Union to cut my hair--she is truly great at what she does, and I've been going to her for years. She gets the nuances of wanting a funky hairstyle that can look professional when I need it to. I trust her to know even better than I do what it is that I want, but she never pulls an ego when I ask her to do something different than what she's suggested. The salon itself feels elegant and relaxing. Everyone is really nice, and the stylists seem genuinely to enjoy working in the same space and sharing ideas. I feel pampered every time I visit.

All the staff rocks but Gillian is my special girl. I've been going here (to see Gillian) for the last two years and have no reason to think of trying anywhere else. I've sent several friends and they've become clients as well. Gillian is an expert at creating a great hairstyle and is always up for trying something new. She is also great at color. As a guy, there are times when I want my color to show and times I don't. She is able to do both with perfection. If you're looking to try a new stylist, give this professional a chance!

Daniel Does My Color. Daniel is a true professional. From ensuring he's familiar with my grooming habits to making sure I set up my next appointment before I leave, he covers all the bases. And the color? Well, he does an absolutely fantastic job every time. I will never go to anyone else. No assembly line here, just friendly professional service with affordable prices. The salon has a comfortable atmosphere. Everyone is very nice. I always look forward to my time there.

Great Experience! talented artists.... Have been going to Gillian for the last year and have had great experience. She's very good with helping her clients decide on their haircut and she's got good sense as to what kind of haircut would be suitable for who. Highly recommned....
