In Short – Longtime chef Allen Kuehn stocks his shop with a wide range of just-caught seafood from all over the globe. Depending on the season, patrons can get Pacific wild king salmon, Maryland soft-shell crabs and East Coast shad roe. The fish market also stocks many prepared products, such as uncooked crab cakes, nicoise salad and ceviche. Lunch visitors perch along a long counter for hot dishes like steamed mussels, or fish and chips. –
If you want good food but, bad service, go here!
by rgose
The food was very fresh and tasty - although not a huge menu of items. Unfortunately, the service was bad.
When the waitress finally got around to us, we were not brought any water or asked if we wanted to start off with a drink. She simply said, "What can I get for you." No hello. She didn't even introduce herself! These are the basic fundamentals of being a good waitress and just good common sense!
In addition to flagging her down for initial service, we subsequently had to ask for a few items that we ordered but, were never brought to us.
We did leave a tip but, not a very good one considering we typically leave 20 - 25% for someone who really worked for it -- and deserved it!
Unique seafood dishes for lunch
by jas
There aren't very many places where you can order softshell crab sandwiches or oyster loaf for lunch. The seafood is fresh and delicious. Combine that with a premier location with outstanding views and you can't go wrong.
