Hair Stylists that listen and give the most amazing cuts and colors. Best I have found in the city! Mika rocks!. I have been going to Red Union for a year and a half. Mika is my stylist. She listens to what I want everytime. She is so artistic in the way she cuts and colors, which is so comforting. She has helped me with changing my hair style, and making decisions on what looks best. I have sent so many of my friends to her and they have all been extremely happy. Oh and I get so many compliments since going to her. You will too I promise. They have gossip magazines to read, which I love, as well as featured artists artwork. She always offers me a cold beverage and she puts this heated rice pad around my neck. Of course this is for her most valued clients I assume (hehe). LOVE YOU MIKA!!

best hair cut and color i have found in sf. I have been to several salons in san francisco but the best hair cut and color by far has come from Mika at red union. She knows how to cut my hair so that i can wear it straight or curly. She transformed my dull hair into rock star hair. (NO JOKE)

THANKS MIKA!!! The salon is sunny and full of life, never a dull moment. I love to people watch out the window as Mika pampers me with the latest gossip magazines & beverage.

Best place to sit with a glass of wine and a warm neck pillow while getting your hair done.. Red Union is a really great, totally chill place to have a hair-travaganza. It's tucked up on the second floor of a building on the corner of Union and Buchannan, and the people watching on the street is only a small part of the fun. Go to Mika -- she is the total stylist package. She can cut and color and style your hair like nobody's business. And the experience is delightful -- glass of wine, warm neck pillow, ottoman for putting your feet up while looking out the 2nd floor window at the folks strolling along Union Street. And the tunes are perfect -- from ABBA to Scissor Sisters to Edith Piaff to Coldplay to Earth Wind and Fire-- they're always fun, but never overbearing or too loud. All the while Mika works away and makes you beautiful and fabulous-- men and women alike, as she works with both.

I cannot highly recommend her enough -- and ladies, if you have some extra time and the inclination, I highly recommend asking her to curl it for you. Who doesn't love to get her Farrah Fawcett on!

Bobbie is truly an artist!. It's hard to find someone who can cut curly hair properly and that is why Bobbie Artman is the only person I let touch my hair. She is the most talented and personable stylists I've ever met. What makes her so great is that you look amazing when you leave the salon and as time passes her cut grows out even better!

I also have to mention that the comfortable setting at Red Union Salon makes you feel at home.

Erika is the best!. Red Union Salon is the ONLY place where I get my hair cut. Erika always does a great job, and I can always count on a great hair cut and an enjoyable time during the cut.

The environment is comfortable and looks fabulous. The artwork is a great touch and gives attention to deserving artists. The Union Street location is very nice. You can shop and have a nice meal before or after your appointment. Going to Red Union is always enjoyable.

Great place for cut and highlight. Ask for Erika!. Erika was great. This was my first time at the salon and with her. She took the time to talk to me to see what I had in mind and make recommendations. I loved her soothing personality and I totally felt at ease with her. She recommended some products but no hard sell. I bought them and love them all. I have definitely found a new place to get my hair cut and highlighted. I'll be seeing Erika again really soon!

Erika Does a Great Job. I always see Erika, and while I don't always agree with her, I've learned to trust her because I always get compliments after one of her haircuts.

Movie Star. I can honestly say that Daniel Sims has cut and colored my hair so well that EVERY time I stepped out of the salon I got asked out or asked where I got my hair done. Bravo!
