THE WORST EXPERIENCE!. I have never been treated so poorly in any store - ever. My toddler recently received one of their shirts as a gift but it did not fit so I needed to exchange it. Especially, since it came with a gift receipt for this purpose. I arrived with my kid to find the sole worker - a woman with long brown hair dressed as a wannabe hipster- on the phone very involved in a personal conversation. The store is tiny, so I know she saw me 2 feet away standing in front of the register. For the next 10 minutes, I was completely ignored while she gingerly made plans for dinner (tacos), who was spending the night (someone was too scared to sleep alone, so they would be sharing a bed), and too many other dumb conversation pieces to type up. In the end she hung up, but only because the other line was ringing! During her second phone call she informed the caller that "I had to close the store in Marin, but this store is still open...", finally she hung up and turned to the new customers who had just walked in and were standing behind me!

At this point I felt like saying something to get her attention, but I waited some more trying to keep my toddler entertained. Finally, after 15minutes in this inferno, I wave at her, so she excuses herself with the others, comes over to the register takes the bag I had put on the counter when I walked in, and said: "Are you returning this?" Me: yes, it was a gift, but does not fit. Her: "Where is the receipt?" I gave her the gift receipt. She looks at the shirt and says, "It does not have the price tag. Do you know why it doesn't have the price tag?" I calmly repeated that it was a gift, ergo no price tag. She replies, "Normally, we do not accept items without the price tag on them." I tell her that is what a gift receipt is for, and BTW, it did have the manufacturer's tag on it and was 100% unworn. Her response is to type aggressively into her register/computer for a few more minutes. After a long period of this, I ask her if she is able to find the purchase transaction, and she again ignores me and says nothing. Finally, she speaks to inform me that she can only give me $17 in credit. I say fine, take the dumb bath toys my daughter had been touching and put them on the counter. Originally, I had planned on getting some pants and a jacket my daughter needed, but given the experience in purgatory I did not look for anything else and just wanted to run out of there. She again types aggressively and says I owe her the difference. I pay her, leave and then realize she has only credited me $16, and charged me more.

Maybe such bad customer service is what really caused their Marin store to close. Also, if that lady was the owner, as she portrayed herself to the person on the phone, she needs a new calling. Too bad for them because I am a fool for cute kid's clothes no matter what the price, but it seems that this shop does not need anyone's business. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Fun, unique baby and kids clothes. This is the place to go if you have a baby shower to attend and you want to be the one with the best gift! Designer clothes for tykes, Ed Hardy, Splendid, Sevens (I think) Really cute. The only down side is the prices are comparable to the adult versions!

Fashionable and Fantastical for kids!. Honeys & Heroes is my go-to boutique for "spoil my niece and nephew outfits" as well as great designer basics for friends' kids. The owner has expanded the non-clothing gift items too, which make for great add-ons, like blankets, hats, bags, shoes etc...The larger sizes (tweens, up to 14 I think) give persnickety kids a great range of designers to choose from that will ensure they stand out from their peers. If you haven't been to Honeys & Heroes in SF, Marin or Palo Alto, be sure to stop in and check it out for yourself!

I'm skulled out.... Decided to visit Honeys and Heroes. Was very unimpressed by the selection, very edgy, skulls and peace signs everywhere. Wouldn't recommend.

Different Name - Even More Cool Stuff. Definately Check Out Honeys and Heroes. I just made it back to the store that had been Pumpkin for the first time in a few months. At first I was worried that this was a new store altogether, but I was pleased to discover, same great owner, and even more cool stuff! So, Pumpkin is now Honeys & Heroes. The only things that have changed is the name and the fact that they?ve added a store in Mill Valley for tweens.

I definitely recommend still shopping at the SF store. I found some great fall things for my five-year old, and my friend, who has baby, found some great clothes, too!

I have not been to the new store yet, but plan to check it out the next time I?m in Marin.

Happy shopping!
