First off, it's an art bar, so the decor and the wall space change regularly. Music and drink list are solid, and they have a photo booth, which means that after that fourth shot of Patron, things can get weird behind the curtain. Seating, however, is as limited as it gets, so if you see a crowd, be prepared to stand.

A very cool place. Get there early if you have or are expecting a large group to grab many of their funky couches and chairs

Be aware of try-harders not trying hard enough. Almost cool peeps at this place with super lame attitudes, cocky behavior and lots of frontin' is what I found at Madrone. The decor and venue itself is properly done- actually one of the better designed bar in SF. Perhaps it was just an off night but I experienced some lame vibes from lame people.

Rude Staff, Expensive Drinks. I was so excited to visit this new hip club opening in my neighborhood...I couldn't have been more disappointed!

First of all, they were charging a cover for a below average DJ. There were 4 shaggy looking guys (one without his front teeth) drinking 24-cans of Budweiser to "welcome" you at the door with insults and nasty humor. What's with that!? Real quality joint, huh?

Then, inside it was very weak atmosphere with EXPENSIVE DRINKS. ($7 plus)

I was so disappointed that I will NEVER set foot inside again, and will not reccomend this club ton anyone.
