Still got it after all these years. I
actively crave the crab cellophane noodles.
Chef Charles Phan competed against Iron Chef Cat Cora in season 7 of Iron Chef America.

If you can't get a reservation at this wildly popular Vietnamese hotspot in the Ferry Building, don't despair--the bar and lounge are first come, first serve. Perennial favorites include the signature Slanted Door spring rolls, grapefruit jicama salad & the spare ribs. Great cocktails!
Worth the trip. Went to Slanted Door last month and I must say that it is a very good restaurant. Our party of 10 tried almost everything on the menu, and most everything was delicious. The prices are very reasonable given the type of restaurant that it is. Go there and you will enjoy it
Can't beat new location. Now that the ferry plaza merchants have all shown up we decided to try Slanted Door one weekend. It was easy, put your name down for the next hour, have a stroll and come back. The decor is very clean and the Bay is the highlight of the surroundings (even when it is grey out like the day we went). We thought the food was great - vietnamese pho has pieces of filet mignon, instead of your typical rare sliced beef. We could have used some help ordering, we weren't sure how many dishes were appropriate for two. We only ordered two dishes (which in restrospect were too similar) and then walked over to Sharffenberger for some chocolate afterwards. We'll definitely go back!
Overrated. The service is attentive and the wine and beer selection is amazing. Decent food but at outrageous prices. I suppose they need to find some way to pay for their waterfront lease. It's not a bad place to eat, but there are so many other great options in the city. I doubt I will be going back any time soon.
Great food family style, helpful staff. The food was amazing and served family style at a very reasonable price. The server had great wine suggestions that really helped bring out the flavor of the food. It was a little crowded and seemed to be an overly trendy spot, but it was all worth it. I went for a birthday dinner and it couldn't have gone better! I recommend making reservations, they get you seated rather quickly regardless of the crowd.
I am NOT begging for a table.... Made a reservation for 8:30. Got there & was told that we'd be seated around 9:30. Couldn't stay, so got another reservation for the next week for 8. Got there & was told that we'd be seated around 10. The woman at the front door WAS NOT nice about it. We left & had a FABULOUS meal at MarketBar. Slanted Door's customer service SUCKS.
