I was really looking forward to finally getting a great haircut. I arrived for my 3 PM appt. 10 minutes early, and they told me that the stylist should be there soon. After waiting there and checking my watch every 10 minutes, it was 3:30, and nobody had even walked by to let me know what was going on. I'm thinking, 5-10 minutes late, okay... it happens, maybe she'll walk in and apologize and I'll still get an awesome haircut. I'd been waiting for a couple weeks for this appointment. A little after 3:30, I got up and went to the front desk. I asked if my stylist was coming, and it turned out, she was already there, cutting someone else's hair. The front desk person went up to her and they both chatted, looked over at me, chatted some more and then the stylist sent the front desk girl over to me and all she said was "okay, we can take you back now" Ummmm....where did these people learn customer service???? This was going to be $100.00 haircut + tip, etc... and I felt an apology would be in order. Obviously that's not how they conduct business. At the very least, they could have said they were sorry, and the stylist should have walked over herself, as she was staring at me from across the room. How rude! I told the girl who said "i can take you back now" (!?!?!) no thanks, and that I would cancel. What a HUGE waste of MY time. The front desk girl meekly said "sorry" to my back as I was walking out. DO NOT GO HERE, unless you want to be treated poorly and have them waste your time/money. Thank god I didn't let them touch my hair.

I have always gotten outstanding cut and color at Di Pietro Todd, however, I went this time with shoulder length hair, and I told the girl I am open to whatever, as long as it is NOT a bob. well, I guess since bobs are trendy right now, she didn't hear me, so I ended up with a short ugly bob, not even a cute and trendy one, I look like an old lady and now I can't do anything with my hair until it grows out. I am really upset, I expected more from a salon that is a higher end salon, but this particular person should be working at supercuts. she was really rude too, she was jerking my head around to the point of making my neck hurt. Again, that was just one person, the others I have seen there have been great. Whitney actually gave me the best haircut I have ever had, I would highly recommend her, she is really creative.

I had a 4pm appointment last week and left work very early in order to make it on time. Traffic was unusually heavy (stalled car) so I called reception at 3:50pm to let them know I would be about 10 minutes late. When I arrived parking was unfortunately difficult to find as well. I parked and ran into the salon around 4:17pm. Reception called my colorist upstairs and told me I was too late, anything beyond 15 minutes is unacceptable. First thought that crossed my mind was --- arriving 2 minutes past a 15 minute cutoff point is ridiculous. Second --- why was there no attempt to salvage my appointment? No creative problem solving? Maybe someone else could have fit me in for a cut and then a highlight the next day. Pretty bad damage control and customer service, in my opinion. Regardless, I really think my appointment should have carried on as usual. I tried my best to communicate my lateness and tardiness is very out of the ordinary for me. I am a regular at this sort of salon and frankly there are too many topnotch salons in the city to deal with poor customer service. Oh and one other thing --- I have waited more than 30 minutes for service on two separate occasions. I did not complain but definitely wish I had.
