We were headed to the Giants game and wanted to grab a bite to eat that wasn't going to be a mad house. After asking my office where we should go, it was unanimous; Hotel Utah.
Had the burger -- delicious. The quesadilla and wings looked awesome.
It's definitely a dive-bar -- dirty, full of "regulars." Would be awesome and packed on the weekend. Will have to come back and see!
Local Hangout with live music. This is a all-round local bar with burgers that often has live music (though we always just go to the bar). Nice for a weekday drink.
A storied SoMa bar serving live tunes, booze and food..
This pretension-free speakeasy has been around since before Prohibition. The narrow front room features a wooden bar-back imported from Belgium, TV broadcasting local ballgames and mascot-like elk's head. Rock-and-roll-friendly patrons grab a seat at one of the few high tables bordering the window or belly up to the bar, which displays a tongue-in-cheek "Employee of the Decade" poster. Service is friendly yet laid-back to the extent that diners may need to request napkins.
Excellent burgers. They have excellent burgers, one of the best in town. I would recommend this place to anybody that wants to have a great burger without any frills.
A great spot to grabb a cocktail!. I have had some great times in this cornor bar. Used to live a block away from it and never really visited till i had moved, wish i could have spent more time there, over all great music downstairs, and when you enter the backside of the bar is a ship rear end over the stairway to the downstairs!(had to add that kind of cool) i give it a thumbs up!
Now that's Pioneer Day.... head in here on the 24th of July and join the other Bay Area ex-Utahns in hoisting a beverage in honor of our old home state and all its wacky idiosyncracies.
