Top Notch Wine Bar. I've been here several times with various friends and it's always a hit!! The staff is knowledgable, friendly & helpful when choosing wines. Great wine selection, & yummy food menu. Both are ever changing so it never gets boring. The service is great, even given that they get packed sometimes.

Nice Place. Went here on a Sat night and it was really nice. Make sure you have a reservation, as it is a small place. The food was really interesting and very good. I like the small plate option as it allows you to try new stuff. If you like wine ask for the complete list. They have a few gems and the prices are pretty good. The bar is also really good. Everyone was very friendly. Nice place for a date!

Fun place and good selection of wines. We went here on a Sat. night and it was pretty packed. Gotta keep your eyes open for a table but all in all they have a great selection of wines to choose from and pretty reasonable rates to choose from. In addition the sampler wine tray is a good choice as it gives you the opportunity to taste many different wines.

GREAT Place - passionate owner. We went to this place during the New Years Eve show (concerts) and found the owner wonderfully helpful, friendly and he made excellent suggestions. The three of us went through 7 flights and bought a few bottles to take home. The food was also outstanding.

Good Wine and food. This place is really popular- and now I know why. It is a sophisticated place, nice interior and lighting. Then add good food and wine. It has a bigger than SF feel to it.

I look forward to going back.

Perfect for Dates and Business. I have been to many wine bars - but I have often felt either out of place or put off by excessive noise. This place just does it right. The design is hip, but not overdone. The food is really excellent - and the servers KNOW what wine goes best with each dish. I have now gone twice - and decided to write (first review for any place!) because the experiences have been so positive. Dates will love this place - intimate and suave. Business meetings go well here - as do all around great wine! Keep it up!

my new living room. visited nectar a few nights ago and the bartender/owner took my partner and I in hand through the list, allowing us to sample a lot of little things before settling on something we liked. Its a big by the glass list and a little daunting, but these guys really seem to know there wine and are totally friendly. we tried a few things off the food menu, which were both delicious and really beautiful. they do ahi better here than anywhere I've had it before. Love the feel of the place, the comfy chairs and the beautiful people. can be a little pricey, but well worth it!

Great New Wine Bar!. I recently discovered an excellent new wine bar called Nectar which really was quite fun. They have numerous wines by the glass with some wild descritptions. The staff is very knowledgeable and attentive. I was happily surprised by the food offerings as well. I look forward to passing the word on to my wine savvy as well as not so savvy friends.

wine for hardcore and hobby "winos". I love a good glas of wine and I like to learn about wine I am not a bookworm and therefore I am so happy with Nectar. They change their winelist every 10 days, so every 10 days they take me on a new expedition around the world - exploring the tasty, exotic and wonderful. No need to be an expert on wine to enjoy and relax. I truely appreciate when experts can skip the "tech talk" and come down to my level to explain and enjoy a good glas. That is why I am so happy to have this neighborhood hangout with great food, fun people and pretty people. Cheers!

wow. i was very, very impressed with nectar. we went on a wednesday night at 8pm and had no problem getting seated. the service was friendly, knowledgable and very professional. when i asked about the preparation and unique flavor combinations of the pan friend shrimp (DO NOT SKIP THESE!), the server brought out the affable chef to explain in detail. i usually skip food and drink spots in the marina, but nectar proved it's worth the trip over the hill. i'll be back for sure.
