nice tanning salon in the Castro. This salon is sort of tucked away in a not too obvious part of Noe near Market. The salon is clean and the staff is mostly friendly and helpful. Only once in my two-year plus time at this salon have I encountered any attitude and it was easy to deflect. They have several types of tanning booths and beds and they also do spray tans if that is what you like. All of the units I have tried, both booths and beds, have worked well and been clean and comfortable. They also have a wide selection of lotions and a couple of different types of plans you can try if you aren't sure how to go about getting a tan. I think their prices are high but sometimes they do specials where you can get more tanning time for your money. Also they use a point system which just seems complicated and unnecessary to me. I'd rather they just tell me how much a tan is going to cost instead of making me figure out the points. Having said that... I like this place. It's clean, nice, convenient and offers many options. I would recommend this salon to anyone looking to get a tan.

Treat yourself like a celebrity..... I've been a customer of Sorrento Sun for awhile. This tanning salon is absolutely wonderful, good service, clean, nice atmosphere and effective machines that give me gorgeous colour. I've always been satisfied....even Paris Hilton came in for the service...yep, I saw her there!!!

Love this place!. Convenient location, great rates and packages, helpful staff and CLEAN! What's not to love? I usually make and appointment, but I have walked in to almost no wait also. This is the place to get your tan on!

down to earth class. I hate going to salons with snotty ass people, I always feel like the the guys...and girls at Sorrento are more personable then that salon on Union street where you always have to make an appointment...plus the parking sucks.

User review by bigredpaul. I went in to get some "sun" for an upcoming trip to Hawaii. I bought a package deal of several sessions. The guys that work behind the counter are really friendly and service-oriented, and the booths are comfortable and offer more than enough privacy.

PARIS HILTON tanned there, why shouldn't I?. I heard of Mystic Tan from many different sources: News, media, etc...but when I heard that PARIS HILTON tanned in the Mystic at Sorrento, that sold me! I had to use the same booth she did, so I did both the high-pressure tanning (Ultrabronz 950) and Mystic extra dark.

I had an overall exceptional experience. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and went out of their way to make sure I was totally prepared for my sunless experience. They have two Mysitc booths, and offer the premium clear and bronzer solutions.

I have used their other salon, Great Tan, as well, and had a similar experience.

If you are going to do sunless tanning, definitely check these guys out, you won't be sorry.
