This was one of my friends favorite spas so i've been a few times. I was always a little dissappointed with our visits, sometimes due to customer service, sometimes due to results of the treatments it varied but overall i didn't see why she loved it so much. i hadn't been to very many spa's for comparison though so i thought perhaps my expectations were too high. She purchased a gift card for me to relax now for christmas and I called last week to book an appointment come to find out they went out of business. BUT there is a silver lining, TRU SPA has offered to redeem their gift cards!! I went to Tru this weekend and was blown away (see Tru's review coming next!). So thank you Relax Now for going out of business and leading me to Tru, i've found my perfect spa!
- Pros: closed and now tr spa takes their gift cards!
- Cons: slow service, mediocre results
OMG!! great facial..great deep tissue massage..cool atmosphere.

I's self employed and am pretty much always stressed out. I had not been to a spa "recently". Used to go often though, forgot why I stopped, just too busy I guess . A client gave me a very genrous gift certificate for this place so I went. It was a cool experience. Very cool decor, fun and modern. I was expecting a sauna but they didn't have one. The "rainsoaker" shower was nice though. The front desk was good, not great but professional and the girl there was working pretty hard. The services I had were 5 star. Relaxed to some nice chilled piano tunes by moby (very cool) during my 80 min massage with Julia. I like deep tissue and she really knew what she was doing. I felt so amazing after the service. Went back a week later to use up the rest of the certificate got a facial and a brazilian with Asya that blew me away. She really knows her stuff. Every layer of product smelled nice and uplifting with a citrus kind of scent that put me in a nice mood. My skin was a little pink after the exfoliation and looks great. She sent me home with some free product line samples. I really liked their body butter and lemon cleanser. Gift certificate is almost gone so i'm going in tomorrow for some products and a chair massage with Julia again.
Oh yeah..they have special deals going on and the microderm facial that was 1/2 off! Too cool. WArning, parking is tough but there is a garage at sac & clay, or way down at the kabuki theather parkaing garage and then take a nice stroll up fillmore street. Had not been in that hood in a long time (starting to look like Soho) a new Eileen fisher, Marc Jacobs and a cool new clothing store where Jim Elle used to be. Nice street but Jamba juice is gone..probably could not afford the rent ..looks like this hood is movin up.
- Pros: talented therapists, cool music nice ambiance
- Cons: tough parking
Hmmm.

Loud colors, front desk that barely pays attention.. That I can live with. What is not passable is mediocre massage and run of the mill facials that seem to be more about selling you into doing more things and buying more stuff. I came here because someone gave me a gift certificate for my baby shower. Thanks but next time save your money and give a diaper jeanie!
