The Scene – A diverse crowd representative of the neighborhood fills caramel-colored banquettes and tables running down the center of the room. Paintings depicting food and wine hang on pastel yellow and sky blue walls. Lounge-worthy hip-hop beats murmur beneath boisterous conversation as waiters bustle between the exhibition kitchen and dining room. – – The Draw – Dishes keep with the France-meets-the-Far-East theme. Great food at a great price

I have been going to watercress since it opened and it just keeps getting better. The food is wonderful and the service is amazing. Granted sometime things take a bit longer but it is a French restaurant. Its one of the best deals in the city and the food is consistently good. Try the sole. They have specials on the holidays also. The NYE menu was delicious and affordable.
- Pros: great food, great service, affordable
- Cons: sometime full, parking
Watercress Dinner

Excellent friendly service. We went Friday night around 7:30. It was not busy, but we had reservations in case. I had the Salmon (kind of oily but very tastly), my boyfriend Jheffe had the pork chops that I tried, also very good. For dessert we had creme brulee, and cheesecake also consistantly tasty. Very good red wine (I forget which). I could see how this would be a good place to have a group, there is room for a bigger party. Service is very important to me and in this case both the food and the sevice were excellent.
- Pros: food, service, price
- Cons: generic ambiance

Parking:
Parking is very difficult in this busy neighborhood. Try Muni, a cab or the parking garage on 21st Street between Valencia and Mission.
Save Money:
A three-course meal is available for $20.95 daily.
What to Drink:
In addition to wine and a few bottled beers, soju cocktails are also served. The martini tastes like its hard-alcohol cousin and is garnished with a lemon.
