Entering the market in 1965 as a vendor for "hard-to-find tools," the chain now carries a wide variety of products for home, office, travel, auto, health and fitness needs. An interactive environment encourages shoppers to try most of the products (think reclining massage chairs and wine bottle openers). Offerings range from high-tech gadgetry like slim CD players and air purifiers, to low-tech items like mattress pads and outdoor furniture covers.
