Okoze Sushi

Okoze Sushi a hidden gem serving fresh sushi.

  • Variety of sushi
  • Sake
  • Innovative sushi rolls

Located on Russian Hill, Okoze Sushi is a small sushi restaurant serving innovative, fresh sushi. They offer special rolls, sake and sashimi. This restaurant receives fresh fish daily and serves green salad and miso soup. The cost of a sushi roll is a bit pricey but the taste of the rolls make up for it.

Editorial Review for Okoze Sushi – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
An extensive menu offers beautifully plated traditional fare along with smart, modern tweaks on classics. Specialty rolls with quirky, locally inspired names -- like the 49ers (deep-fried asparagus, salmon and lemon zest) -- vie with a long list of impeccably fresh nigiri and sashimi, including a buttery toro. Natural woods and sleek lines make for an atmosphere that's simple yet refined. The crowd leans toward well-dressed couples on dates and small groups in search of a sushi fix.

I live really close to Okoze and I am so happy it opened, Sushi Groove is really yummy too but Okoze's atmosphere is much nicer, the chefs are so cute and nice- definitely did sake bombs with them one night when everyone had left... Food is great- specials are always amazing, I even tried monkfish liver and it was delish... If you want something cozy, not super fancy, but wonderful sushi go here!

The Owner at this restaurant is also the sushi chef, I believe he has never taken a day off since the opening and is friendly and warming. Price may be high but it is worth it

Pros: Great Food

Cons: Parking
