Best Beginner Salsa Class in SF.
I didn't realize how many basics I was missing until I attended this class. I started with the beginner class even though I had done Salsa before and was shocked at how much I learned. I now recommend all my friends who say they "can't learn to dance" take this class! It is definitely the best beginner class i've experienced. As an intermediate dancer the intermediate class keeps me challenged and I am always learning something new.
The instructor is fun and full of energy and the classes are never boring. The real bonus though is all of the amazing people in the class. I met my girlfriend in class because it was such a warm friendly environment to learn and socialize in. I didn't need to have a partner and everyone was very eager to dance with new people.
I highly recommend this class whether you are a beginner or intermediate to advanced dancer.
Live Dance Lessons. I go to Dance SF when I want to switch things up. I mostly use a set of dance DVDs from Salsa Crazy to learn most of my Salsa moves but I like to get out on occasion and try what I?m learning with a guy partner. I can do that at Dance SF. It?s fun, cheap, and they?ll match me up with a partner when I get there. Can?t beat that!
Pretty Cool Dance School Site. I?m all for a happy home so I put my parents on to this site. They said they were looking for a way to reconnect with one another and they thought that Salsa dancing would help with that. So I found the site while I was looking for dance lessons and teaching dvds online. The cool thing about the site is that it?s for a dance school right here in San Francisco, there?s classes most days of the week and if I were interested in Salsa dancing even I, a college student, could afford classes!
Great Dance Classes.
I went to Dance SF once or twice with a friend whos interested in Salsa dancing. I had fun when I went and I did well. My friend, on the other hand, didnt do too hot. The teachers were encouraging and gave one on one attention to her but she just didnt feel comfortable in the environment, I guess. (I think shes one of those people that just takes a little longer to get dance steps and maybe who has performance anxiety or something.)
Despite her troubles I enjoyed the lesson and have visited the DanceSF website multiple times to see when classes are and when I can go back. As for my friend, well it turns out that one of the instructors has a set of instructional DVDs out called the Learn to Dance Salsa series so maybe Ill get those for my friend. You know, get her more comfortable with Salsa so eventually we can go out dancing together.
Convenient, affordable Salsa lessons. This is one of the little gems I found when I was searching the DanceSF sister site, SalsaCrazy. This website is for dance lessons at a dance school in San Francisco called Dance SF / The San Francisco Dance Academy. Anyway, when I went on the website I was impressed. Out here you find so many places that like to withhold information so they seem like they have a certain status or something but the fact that this site had all the answers about the school put out on nice, neat web pages was a nice change. There are classes almost every night of the week and get this for convenientnot only can you find out what the classes cost (private or public) but you can sign up for them online too. The site is convenient and the classes are excellent.
Best there is in 'Cisco.
This dance school is great. The instructors are open, patient, and easy to work with. My friends and I found that out first hand when we went for our first lessons a few months back. Its a good time and best of all the classes are cheap, especially when you think about the quality of instruction youre getting and the level of personalized attention.
Id say its the best dance school for Salsa dancing in Cisco.
Nice Vibe. This is a nice dance school. Ive been a time or two with a couple of my friends. We go whenever we want to have the experience of going out dancing but really dont want the crazy scene that we usually get when we go to a nightclub. Every time weve gone its been a really good time. The teacher are nice, the women arent catty and the men are focused on dancing, not hooking up for a one-night stand. Its just a great atmosphere.
Makes Mom Happy So I'm Happy.
Hey, this is Kappie here again. This time, Im writing on The San Francisco Dance Academy. Its a dance school out here in California where they teach all sorts of dance lessons for pretty cheap.
The lessons must be good. My mom goes to Dance SF religiously every week for Salsa dance classes. She even bought these special high heel shoes that she wears every week for class and when she and some of her friends get together to go out to Salsa dance events each month. She seems to have a good time and shes made some friends there so that makes me happy. Its given her a hobby that keeps her active and I think it has given her a new look at how good life can be even though my dad isnt around anymore.
So, the school is a good place.
Hot Salsa Spot. I like Dance SF a lot. I met a boy there and let me tell you ladies, theres nothing hotter than a man who knows how to dance except a man who knows how to take control on the dance floor and whirl you around. Whew! But seriously, while Im quite certain my passion for Salsa has a lot to do with my newfound friend, hes not what brought me to the school and ever since we finally exchanged numbers, hes not what keeps me coming back. It really is the classes, the teachers (Hey Evan!), and the people who go there. Theyre all top-notch. So if youre interested in learning to Salsa, Id definitely recommend you check out Dance SF (sometimes listed as the San Francisco Dance Academy). Theres classes every day of the week and they dont cost that muchabout as much as a nice Jack Daniels meal at Fridays.
Pre-Bachelorette Worthy. The San Francisco Dance Academy was my first exposure to Salsa dancing. I went there one night with a couple of girlfriends; it was a first stop of many on my friends bachelorette party agenda. Anyway, we took a lesson to get us somewhat ready for Salsa dancing later that night and I have to say that it was a good experience. The men in the class (who seemed to be regulars) were willing partners for us. Also, the instructors were really helpful in giving added attention to those of us (Janie) who took a little bit longer to catch on.
