Rude Staff. Poor Customer Service. Unaccommodating to Patrons. Spend Money Elsewhere!

by tellingitlikeis at Citysearch

I went out to enjoy my rare opportunity to got out by myself. I'm a stay at home mom and don't get the chance often to get out. And unfortunately this was the worse place that I could have chosen to spend such a rare opportunity. I couldn't believe how horrible I was treated. Many of the staff personnel were rude and insulting. I bought a half priced ticket and I thought that I was getting a good seat since the lady said that it was in the Orchestra section 2 rows in the center from the front. When I went to sit down, I felt too close to the stage and asked the ushers if I could move to the back. The ushers told me that they have a strict policy and that they don't allow you to move until after intermission. I asked how long was the first half and she said that it was an hour so I said that I have to be unhappy for a whole hour when there are all these empty seats at least a third. The usher then told me to go speak to some gentleman who told me to go to the box office for an open seat pass. When I went there, they told me that I didn't need a pass since I had a half price ticket so I went back to the gentlemen and asked him again if I could move my seat and he said no that I would have to wait until after intermission. Then I decided to just go and sit in an empty seat in the back and one of the ushers asked to see my ticket and she told me that I couldn't sit in the there that these seats the ushers usually sit in them. Can you imagine, an usher having seating preference over a paying patron. And can you imagine, someone saying to you "You can't sit back here, go sit in the front." I just wanted to sit in the cheap seats and I was willing to down grade my seat. The gentleman told me that I should have bought a full price ticket if I wanted to change my seat. I thought that this comment was inappropriate since he didn't know whether or not I could afford to buy a full price ticket. I still paid $43 for my ticket. and I deserved better treatment.

Bad customer service and poor management

by mmhh at Citysearch

I had a terrible experience at this theater when my evening tickets were incorrectly printed for afternoon. The manager was unwilling to even try to help, and even if she was not able to, there was no reason for her rude behavior.

Also, the staff there--she and two other staff members--told us they'd seat us in empty seats after the show began, then the manger reversed the decisions after the show started. By then the box office was closed and we couldn't even buy a new set of tickets if we'd wanted to.

And, we'd been misled to wait around for 30 minutes for no reason since they lied to us about agreeing to seat us. Bad service. I wouldn't recommend a place that treats you this way, especially after you've paid more than $150 to be there.
