Yummy food but unfriendly staff. I've always loved this place for great crepes and drinks. My daughter and I come to this place so often for snack. It would be much better if the girls are friendlier or smile even just tiny bit.
Saves a trip to Tokyo. I love the crepes here. The desert crepes and huge. The entre crepes are delicious. Tapioca drinks are delicious and also huge. There is a big selection of Japanese sweets and items. Great vibe, it's like Tokyo on Clement.
Crepes Yay!. When you walk down Clement you can smell the crepes being made inside this Thai Market. It reminded me of when I was in Thailand and they had these crepe carts. Genki has all sorts of flavors to choose from.. savory or sweet. I like the sweet crepes filled with jam, they are good. If you are ever walking by it's hard to resist!
Inexpensive good crepes. This place reminds me of getting street crepes in Paris... except that it's connected to an asian market! It's inexpense, has only a few tables, but the crepes are good. They are served in a cardboard holder which makes them excellent for walking with, and easy to eat. They service sweet and savory crepes (about 10 of each), as well as crepes with ice cream. They also serve just ice cream and milkshakes, which I enjoyed drinking with my crepe.
Clement Street favorite offers more than 30 inventive savory and sweet crepe flavors, in addition to Hello Kitty toys, beauty products and Japanese snacks.. Mini mart or snack shop? This late-night, colorful Richmond spot is equal parts Japanese-style 7-11 and ice cream parlor/cafe, providing an experience straight out of Asia. Genki, which means "good-spirited or lively" in Japanese, draws customers for its tapioca drinks, warm Hong Kong-style egg puffs and popular Asian-inspired crepes filled with green tea ice cream, lychee or red bean paste (plus a few all-American options like Nutella, honey, bananas and whipped cream). Patrons can also purchase Japanese beauty products, ramen noodles, cartoon figurines and dozens of candy types. Talk about a one-stop shop.
Great Crepes!. I love this place. Whenever I go to dinner on Clement Street, this simple crepery is a great, cheap place to go for dessert. They have tons of varieties of fillings and the crepes are well priced. The only drawback is that there really isn't much of a place to sit since its more of a take-out place. Its best to sit in the chairs outside on a nice evening.
