Relaxation after a stressful day

by Tkline03

I really needed to be pampered. I walked into SF Sun Tanning Salon and sat down in a massage chair for a much needed mani/pedi. I was surprised to find out that I was entitled to a free tan!

In a town awash with nail salons I've found it's not so easy to find a place where the mani/pedi is clean, the massage relaxing, and a complimentary glass of wine is at my fingertips.

Ahhhhhhhh....To quote our governor...well, you know.

Terrible nails, okay tanning deals

by elsa13

I went here to get a mani/pedi/tanning session and I left horribly dissapointed. I usually go to the nail salon on Haight between Masonic and Central and assumed that because this place looked nicer and cleaner that they would do a nicer and cleaner job...well, they didn't.

First off they made my toe nails square and didn't even cut my nails off, just slightly filed them down horribly flat and square when giving me a French Pedicure. Then two teenage kids came in and instead of starting on one of them they decided to start doing their receptionists' nails. In effect the lady who was doing my nails began to rush and mess up. She then was irritated when I asked her to fix a couple of my nails that needed to be fixed. I ended up having to ask her to fix the same nail four times and another nail once.

It had gotten to the point that even after the fourth time of her fixing it I didn't even want to bother mentioning to her that there was a huge blob of nail polish on my finger that wouldn't dry and that she had forgotten a coat on another couple of nails and in turn they all looked pretty different and horrible.

My friend was there with me at the time and hated her nails equally. We had both gotten french Mani/Pedi's and agreed never to go there again. I've asked several other people who I both work with and customer's from a nearby restaurant I work at and they've all agreed that SFSUN has the worst nail salon ever...but I have to say it, has some decent tanning prices.

Great deals, great tanning!

by moti12

I've only gone tanning here, I've never had their mani/pedi's but the areas for nails looks really clean and it's so cheap that my next mani/pedi will probably be here! In terms of tanning, this place is super clean, which is number 1 in my book, they also have great deals and are very reasonably priced. The owner is really nice and I get a great tan every time!
