Excellent Customer Service. Unlike the previous two reviewers, my experience was excellent. I shopped on a Saturday, and the store was packed with customers. I've just learned to knit and was looking for a conversion chart that a friend had gotten there. Even though I didn't quite know how to term what I was seeking, the staff knew exactly what I wanted. And when it came time to choose my yarn, they happily climbed up to check the stock stored above the cubbies full of yarn. (Their selection is huge and varied.) I felt very welcomed, and I will definitely shop there next time I'm in SF.

The staff is definitely a bit rude. I absolutely agree with the other reviewer. I still buy yarn at this shop but only because I live around the corner and so it's easy. Their prices are pretty high, and the staff is rude and not at all helpful. I've been to other yarn shops in the bay area (there's an excellent one in Half Moon Bay) and have been treated to helpful, enthusiastic service by knitters who really know what they're doing. Can't for the life of me figure out why people who don't want to help others knit would open a yarn shop. What's the point?

Don't Bother If You Have ANY Questions. Although they have a huge selection of yarns, the staff that work here are incredibly rude. They seem to have plenty of time to stand at the counter and talk amongst themselves, but act as if you are interupting a world summit to ask then a question. I found the whole experience very off-putting . I gave the shop three chances but had essentially the same experience all three times. I will not come back, and I'll make sure to pass the word on to my friends to not bother!!
