Good food, good service. My husband and I ate here on a Sunday night. We were promptly seated, and our waitress was attentive. The bread served with olive oil was incredibly tasty. I ordered Pollo Rolentino, which was chicken stuffed with goat cheese in a Marsala sauce. It was amazing. Included with this was couscous cooked with peas, onions, and tomatoes that I loved, and roasted vegetables. Let me say that I usually don't eat cooked vegetables, I prefer them fresh and crunchy, but these were so good! They were sweet potatoes and zucchini, and I had to fight my husband for them, because I usually give him my veggies. My husband got some kind of pasta with prawns, which he thought was good but uneventful. Our bill was about $50 for two entrees, sodas, tax and tip. Well worth it, in my opinion.

Ti Piacera. If you like to spend your money on bad food, bad service and bad staff, then eat here.

It's TERRIBLE. My wife found a finger nail in her salad. The owner took forever to address our issue. He sat at the bar watching television. We ended up just getting the check and walking out.

There's a great sushi restaurant next door where all the people working there are actually interested in working there.

Low-key Italian and Mediterranean in a pretty, white-tablecloth-and-warm-wood dining room on Polk.. In Short
Drawing the same mix of tourists and locals as famous block mate Swan Oyster Depot, this well-kept neighborhood restaurant offers affordable Italian in upscale-casual environs. The large dining room features an exhibition kitchen, a "patio" area framed by high windows and a full bar with high tables for happy-hour nibbles. Dishes include pasta, panini, and robust entrees such as veal piccata, as well as Med fare such as moussaka and hummus plates.

Great food for a great price. Ti Piacera is one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. After reading some reviews, we decided to try it one afternoon. We have been there a dozen times, and have never been disappointed. The wine prices are very reasonable for a great selection of interesting wines. The fried calamari along with the mushroom polenta are our favorite appetizers. My boyfriend always get the pasta with sausage which has an amzaing sauce (flavorful yet light), and my favorite is the clams linguine with a garlic and wine sauce. Most of all, the service is excellent and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends.

Surprisingly fantastic Italian fare in a romantic setting.. A couple of girlfriends and I were referred to this restaurant by our hotel concierge so I went into the experience with low expectations (and tend to be very picky when it comes to West Coast Italian food), but I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was! The three of us ordered pasta dishes and each of the dishes was outstanding. The bread was incredible, our service was terrific, and the setting was very quaint and romantic. The portions are not huge but I have a good appetite and found it to be just the right amount of food without feeling unhealthily "stuffed." It was also nice to see the owner of the restaurant overseeing the entire room to make sure everyone was happy and well-tended. My only complaint would be that the coffee is mediocre, but that's not enough of a ding for me not to highly recommend this wonderful little restaurant!

Loved It!. My boyfriend and I were out on a friday looking for a place to eat when we chanced upon this restaurant. It was around 8pm so we thought it would be packed. To our surprise we were seated right away. It was cozy and romantic, the service was fast, the waiters attentive. The bread was good, so much so that we had to ask for seconds. I ordered the steak. It was a little bit smaller than I would like but it was great. I will definitely come back to Ti Piacera.

What a find!. The place is out of place for Polk Street. Pretty and romantic with a great bar. Food portions were small but priced right. Excellent veal and fresh fish dishes. Walk right in befor 7PM and make reservations later. You will go back for more. Loved it.

Looks can be deceiving. My wife and I stopped in forromantic dinner on a Thursday evening. On the outside all was great, but everthing else was horrible. First we had bruschetta - the bread was too toasty (rock hard even), and we split a salad (that was good). I had the vitello marsala (veal scallopini), the veal was overcooked and the sauce bitter. I ate less than 1/4 and informed the waiters, but they could care less. I had it removed from my bill. My wife had the fetucinni con salmone, again a horrible experience. The cream sauce tasted like there was too much nutmeg or some spice - making it equally bad. We didn't send that one back, but we should have. The waiters were so self-involved that they didn't even realize we were dissatisfied. Out tip was commensurate with our dining venture.

Mixed review, might go back one more time. Service good, decor pleasant, veal was overcooked making

it tough so that it did not taste like veal. Latte tasted like strong regular American

coffee rather than expresso.

On the plus side, the chicken dish my husband had was tender and good, the bread

was good and the staff was pleasant.

many great eats on Polk - this isn't one. I've walked by so many times and finally stopped in for dinner for a light dinner. Ordered a few aps, salads and wine. The polenta and pizzas came first and were mediocre - and about 10 minutes after the server noticed they were gone, the overdressed salads arrived. Such a cute place -- just not worth it.
