The Scene – Three full floors of therapeutic, aesthetic and restorative treatments lure visitors and Union Square locals to this internationally known day spa and salon. Modern surroundings and high service standards--not to mention 29 years of experience--attract a well-heeled, loyal clientele. Softer environs can be found in the plush, dark relaxation room warmed by a fire, and famous "couples suite," a private room with massage table and tub for two. Separate mani/pedi, hair salon, makeup vanity, and eight skin treatment and massage rooms available. – – The Services…
Poor, poor service!
by keikoleigh
Poor, poor service! The staff was rude beyond compare! Not snobby, I expect a certain air of snobby for a downtown establishment, but this is above and beyond! I had a problem with my facial. I received the wrong type. The whole time I was asking why the scent smelled like citrus, but the person just told me to relax and essentially SHUT UP! I told the supervisor when I was done and she said she would give me a gift certificate for a future visit, but I didn't want to return again. She told me she already charged my credit card and there was nothing she could do. Sad, unprofessional service. Go elsewhere!
Five Stars for LaBelle
by curlymetropolitangirl
Highly recommend this place!!! Not only it is classy and exquisite, the staff is great, very pleasant and well trained. I had the BEST massage ever (with Alexandria), I was so relaxed that I asked if I could have my hair done. I had a consultation about my hair, I end up with a new hair cut that I love and I have to say, I am very impress (Capri did my hair). After so many years LaBelle is still the place to go. If you have not been there lately, go check it out. A real Five star place!!!
mediocre airbrush tanning
by febriani28
I decided to try out their airbrush tanning service since it was voted the best by In Style Magazine and it was not great. The place itself was very cute and modern but my tan # 2 did not show at all. I did not look dark and she missed a few spots like my underarms, my calves and my inner thighs. It was not that bad but paying $45 for it was definitely not worth it. They do give a do-over though but why would I want to go back to the same place that gave me an uneven tan? so maybe this place offers other good services but definitely not an airbrush tan. by the way, they did spray them in a dim lighted room so maybe that's why the girl could not spray the color evenly. I am definitely not going back.
- Pros: cute place
- Cons: bad parking and overpriced
