Editorial Review for Bija Yoga – by Stephanie Laemoa

In Short
The interior wall are shrine-like, featuring images of BKS Iyengar: one of the world's premiere yoga instructors, whose teachings are essential here. Colorful saris, a merchandise rack and a Zen-like bench further decorate the reception area. Inside a room that holds up-to-60 people, four levels of classes are offered--beginning with posture and working up to held headstands. A woman's health and a pre-natal class are also available, aiding reproduction and childbirth.

This is by far one of the most beautiful studios in S.F. The teachers are trained at a level of excellence- their knowledge and experince far excell what I've seen at other studios. There are a variety of classes that meet the needs of all students. This is a must see place.

Pros: atmosphere, teachers, classes

I remember going to those really cool restaraunts that were a well kept secret. Bija Yoga is at the top of that list. Teachers who have experience and have the know how on working with students with injuries or ailments. Its nice to go to a studio thats always clean and is just a pleasure to go to when you get off of work. Much kudos to those folks at Bijayoga ~JJ

Pros: Beautiful Space, Great teacher's, Great community
