The Scene
Don't be fooled by the characterless hotel hallway--behind the closed doors lies a lush, Southwestern sanctuary with terra-cotta tile floors and walls painted sage green and latte brown. Slip into a terrycloth robe in the luxurious locker room, replete with huge, private showers and an extensive array of fancy shampoos and lotions. Before your treatment, unwind in the steaming-hot sauna or lounge around with a magazine in the peaceful relaxation room.
The Services
Friendly, skilled masseuses lead clients through a courtyard to a private treatment room, located among guest rooms--occasionally, noise from meandering guests can break a client's blissed-out reverie. A short, yet interesting list of body treatments and massages is geared toward rejuvenation. The Avanyu custom massage focuses on the back, arms and legs, along with a head and foot massage. Since it caters to a mostly vacationing crowd, facials and waxing services are available Thursdays through Sundays.
