Sweet tooths line up for ice cream concoctions made on a granite slab.. In Short
Crowds of couples, teenagers and parents with toddlers press up against the long refrigerated display case at this dessert chain, where a variety of ice creams, frozen yogurts and sorbets are made in-store daily. Customers choose flavors like sweet cream, cake batter or banana, add mix-ins--ranging from candy bar chunks and Gummi bears to hot fudge and peanut butter--then servers mash it all together on a frozen slab of granite.

Be sure to tip.... ....and the friendly, enthusiastic ice cream-arristas at this place where the line is always long (and always worth the wait) will belt out a cheer for you!

Great idea, nice location, friendly. Im not big on chain restraunts, but Cold Stone definately does not remind me of the typical chain, especially due to the fact that they have a great manager, she is so nice, and so is her staff! The Ice Cream is really yummy and I would have rated it higher, but it is very thick and creamy and I know that it does not appeal to everyone.. All in all a great spot, fun to do, and a good treat! (cake batter flavor is my favorite!!)

Get Your Creative Juices Flowing. This is a wonderful place to enjoy ice cream, but with a special unique twist. You get to choose what flavor you want and with what additions are added. There are numerous flavors of ice cream let alone flavored syrup and candies to create your own unique flavor of ice cream.

Simply the Best. I consider myself and ice cream afficianado, and I have never had Ice Cream like this before. It was outstanding! I especially enjoyed how you could construct your own mix with the differnet toppings. It will take years to try all the combos, but I am willing to give it a shot.

Road Trip Surprise!!!. I had been on the road for a long time passing through San Rafael and spotted the Cold Stone Creamery and thought a little ice cream would do me justice. To my surprise & delight it was the best ice cream I've had in a long time. The place was clean and on top of that the people were friendly. I would recomend to anyone in San Rafael or passing through to make that speacial stop. You'll be thanking me later. Get the waffle cone.

Best of the Best!. I've been to many ice cream parlours around the Bay Area but this one is by far the best. The friendliest servers, up-beat ambience, and amazing ice cream. Come see for yourself and get the best of the best!

Incredible Cream. I've been trying cream all over the world and when I came across Cold Stone in San Rafeal I was blown away with ice cream and especially store's management and crew. Cheers, and keep up the good work.
