The inside is cluttered with an odd collection of beer ads, hunting trophies, rock-n-roll paraphernalia--the owner is a huge Rolling Stones fan--and even an old suit of armor named "Cedric," purportedly left by some unknown, drunken patron years ago. The clientele ranges from clean-cut college kids to grizzled regulars who've been hanging out here since it was called the Decatur 20 years ago. The bar also features an upstairs game room with two pool tables, dartboards and pinball machines.

STAY AWAY! This place is horrible! I'd suggest to anyone not to waste their time or money and find somewhere better. This place is full of a lot of sleazy guys trying to grab women. They're the same drunk a-holes who will keep stumbling over and making stupid and rude comments to you all night - to the point that it gets really creepy. Ladies - if you're cute, this is not the place for you! I thought it was just the night, so I came back for the trivia thing, and it was pretty boring. Questions were either way too easy or totally obscure. Service was OK and the food was edible (barely), but the atmosphere totally ruined it. They tell you they have drink specials but, while I can't say for sure, I suspect they're trying to get rid of the really old stuff. Sure did taste a little funky! I heard a couple of really off color jokes too - and that was the nail in the coffin! No thank you! The only thing bitter was the taste in my mouth after wasting my time and money in this place! Now I know better!!!

Not really my idea of a good place to spend your time. Went for the trivia night, was surprised to find out the most of the people who attend are drunk frat boys who think it's funny to yell out homophobic jokes and insult minorities with really offensive team names filled with racial slurs. And the worst part of it all was that the bar rewarded people for whoever had the most offensive names. Great atmosphere they're promoting here! Tells you something about the kind of people who own/run/frequent this place. The food is mediocrore - I had the burger - which I figured had to be good - but needless to say they found a way to mess that up. For the $10 a burger costs at this rathole you'd think they'd be able to get some decent meat. I ordered a couple of mixed drinks - jack/coke - tasted pretty much like just flat coke. Ultimately had to switch to beer. If you come here - stick to beer from a bottle! I for one am a little skeptical of the taps in this place. Bar stools have torn leather tops, pool tables are broken down. Pretty lame place overall - couldn't tell that from the rest of these reviews. Who are these people?!!! Take my word for it - try Geary Street for a good Irish bar!
