delicious burger. Chez maman is close to my home and has some of the best burgers in town. The manager olivier I think his name is, is very pleasant and friendly. This is a nice place to meet a friend and have a casual lunch or dinner.

BEST Day of My Week!. My favorite day of the week looks something like this, I make an appointment for my amazing hot rock massage at In-Symmetry (other side of the hill- different review) at 10:30 a.m., saunter to my car around 11:45, take a quick scenic drive up and over the hill to find a ton of parking and slowly eat my amazingly fantastic lunch.

It is the best day a girl could ask for. The server is always friendly with an amazingly attractive accent and the food is even better. Everything from the fries to the salads are a winner. Right now I seem to be stuck on the prosciutto paninis. Worth each and every calorie!!!!

Excellent brunch, dinner, late night place. The reason why I love this place is that I get to watch someone do something they love so well it hurts. Each dish is exquisite and is always perfectly presented. The endive salad is superb, the hamburger decadent, the broccoli soup dreamy, the steak frites amazing. If you need a late night bite and don't feel like a burrito or slice, they will feed your gourmet need.

Charming Atmosphere, Delish Eats. Happened by this on a weekday for lunch and it was really, quite lovely. The service was a little bit brusque, but the food was absolutely incredible. Me and my partner split a Endives Salad with Roquefort and toasted walnuts that was fantastic. He had Mahi Mahi - which was well prepared. My shrimp and gruyere quesadilla (which, I admit, I was a bit hesitant about) was delightful.

Brunch Until 4PM!. Fantastic spot for late risers who crave champagne and paninins! Our waiter was warm and the food was delicious.

Excellent Lunch. The hamburger is extremely rich. When that's what you're after, I haven't had a more decadent burger than the roquefort burger. Their fries are fantastic; thinly cut and tossed in garlic and salt. They also serve a good Hefeweizen that matches the burger well (at least during the summer). The seating is not the most comfortable (counter seating except for two tables (and possibly three more outside, at a noticeable slant). There have also been a few times when counter seating was overheated (mostly because the seats are only a couple of feet from the grill).

best burger. The burgers are the best in the city if not the world. I recommend it with roquefort and bacon. Tyr it once and you will be hooked. Plan when you go because it can get really crowded.

Excellent lunch. Great neighborhood place, excellent food and value. Have had both the hamburger and the merguez sausage. Each one a winner. I only wish there were more small high quality restaurants like this around. Some may complain that it can be too crowded, but use your head and go at the right times and should be okay.

This tiny Potrero Hill bistro features classic French cuisine and cozy counter seating.. The Scene
The shoebox-sized room is dressed up with a cool apricot-and-orange color scheme. Seating is limited to two tiny metal tables and a glossy wood counter from which diners can watch their meals evolve. Add some hip, mellow house music, a very French waiter, and a glass or two of wine, and suddenly everything will evoke Paris.

The Food
Simple French favorites are served all day. At lunch, try a perfectly vinegary niçoise salad augmented by roasted red peppers, mustard seeds and anchovies, or a croque monsieur grilled panini-style, oozing a fabulous mixture of bechamel and Swiss cheese under its layer of ham. A great burger at a French place might seem incongruous, but this delicious rendition is served on a crusty roll with Roquefort, Brie, or goat cheese. Entrees include tender, flavorful mussels mariniere and a grilled mahi mahi with white emergo beans.

Nieghborhood Gem. Chez Maman is a much better value than it's pricier neighboor - Chez Papa.

If you're looking for a scene, go to Chez Papa, if you're looking for good quality food and great french ambience at a reasonable price, check out Chez Maman.

Two of my favorites are the chicken and mustard crepe and the seabass.

Also, if there's a vegetable soup, get it, it's always good.
