Citysearch Editorial Review. In a neighborhood known for haughty boutiques, Azalea is perhaps the best known and least haughty. The staff seem to take a personal interest in finding the pair of jeans that best flatter your backside, while the OCD-grade organization of the store means those who want to shop alone don't need to ask for help. Top boutique brands like Surface to Air, A.P.C. and Nice Collective don't come cheap, but with mid-range labels like Penfield, Cheap Monday and Alternative Apparel--plus the always-loaded sales racks in the back--the shop is one of the more accessible in the 'hood. There's also an edgy jewelry selection, an in-store nail salon and a mini beauty bar for those ready to go head-to-toe.
Can you tell I completely love this place?.
Fabulous clothes at very reasonable prices! Great selection, great music playing all the time, and the owners have really excellent taste in the merchandise they carry.
Can you tell I completely love this place? My closet is stocked 45% with clothes from this store. No joke.
Don't Shop On-Line. I had a bad experience shopping on-line with this store (my package was directed to an incorrect address). It took me a few emails and calls to get it rectified and some bad services from the Assistant Store Manager (very unhelpful). That all changed when I chatted with Gino who took the time to apologize and listen to my concerns (that was all I needed). So, at the end, things worked out and the store took care of me. My advice, make sure you talk to the right people at the store; They were all very nice except the one Assistant Manager...but you know the old saying a bad apple can spoil the bunch.
we're sorry you experienced this. thank you for helping us improve our operations. try us again! processes have improved. thank you!
Enjoy shopping and getting pampered at Hayes Valley boutique with wall-to-wall fashions and an enticing mani/pedi lounge.. Skim the racks of men's and women's clothing and you'll find an array of designer and independent labels from the likes of Sass & Bide, Milly and Ted Baker. The sparse decor allows the clothing and accessories, arranged by color, to steal the limelight, while a vibrant red wall lures shoppers to Z Beauty Lounge for manicures, pedicures and an assortment of beauty products.
Best boutique in SF!!.
I recently moved to SF and was a little bummed to find that shopping was just not the same as it was in LA. Thank goodness for Azalea! This boutique carries great, hard to find brands like A.P.C. denim, See by Chloe and Sonia Rykiel, and has an amazing and knowledgeable staff. My boyfriend was saved from buying a pair of "too-big" A.P.C.'s when an attentive (but not annoying) salesgirl interjected and taught us about the best way to buy, wear and care for this brand.
Definitely make this one of your stops whenever you're in Hayes Valley. And if you're not in the neighborhood, make the trip! I guarantee that the clothing you'll find and the service you'll get will be well worth the travel!
its all about the shop girls!. internet reviews are quite interesting. i just moved to san francisco and was in search of cute shops in my neighborhood. my boyfriend and i was curious about azalea after reading the mix reviews. to my suprise, the rude, lazy, snotty shop girls turned out to be helpful, genuine and fun!! i was expected to get ripped off but the prices are the same from everywhere else. tees are $25, jeans are $130 to $190 (i think?) and dresses were reasonably priced. i found a new baby doll dress for $79!! wohoo! from working at the barneys co-op in miami, this is a real gem in hayes valley. shoppers in SAN FRAN need to CHILL OUT!!!
Awesome Customer Service and Love the Style!. Great follow up and customer service both in the store and online... I love it! I definitely recommend this store and their online products too!
What's with the attitude?. This place has all the "trendy" new stuff, great jewlery, and usual boutique ambiance. I would say the bonus is the Nail bar. I got better customer service from the nail tech than the store owner. I've never gotten "friendly" customer service from this boutique. In fact i had a question about a purse i had bought that quickly fell apart, and was told that it was most likely MY fault because it was over stuffed. I tried to explain the defect in the lining and zipper of the bag, and was brushed a side so she could ring up other customers. LAME! And the last time i was in, no one helped me at all? Self -service all the way. I love to shop local boutiques in this city, but it's the CUSTOMER SERVICE that wins me over, more than the trendy selection of merchandise. This place is overrated.
azalea is truly fashion forward!. i love azalea, and every time i go to sf i make plans to stop by. i just love their sense of fashion, their merchandise and customer service!
Azalea. THey have the dopest new gear before everyone else. EX: History, if you don't know it you don't pay attention to fashion. You can start by going to Azalea.
