The best on the Coastside.
Don't be fooled by new places that claim they have the best chowder, cause Marty makes the best at Pinceton Seafood.
Everything is great in the restaurant, but in the back you can get killer fresh fish, his chowder ready to be heated up by you at home, and everything else you would need. Great find, we live 1 mile away and couldn't live without Pinceton Seafood. An landmark that watches all the new cool places come and go...drive right past Sam's chowderhouse and save 1/2 the cash and get way better food.
A must for GREAT FOOD, and price.
This is a must for are family and friends. The FOOD is GREAT, and the price is right. People always ask me "where's a great place for food on the coast,? I run into many people if San Francisco, CA, that come from all over the world. So I must tell them THIS IS A MUST STOP on there way on the coast. Salmon fish and chip. First place winners for years on the
"The clam chowder", and fresh fish in the market to take home right from the boats. STOP BY , but leave me SOME FOOD.
Best Clam Chowder Anywhere!. I surprised my husband yesterday with a trip out to Half Moon Bay for his birthday. After a relaxing horseback ride on the beach, I took him to lunch at the Princeton Seafood Company restaurant on Pillar Point. This was our first visit to this restaurant, but it won't be our last! What a pleasant surprise for both of us! The hostess greeted us warmly, and seated us immediately. Our server, Melissa, was prompt, cheerful and attentive. We started our meal with oysters on the half shell, which were the freshest and most delicious oysters we have ever had (& we have them often!) The perfectly seasoned homemade New England style clam chowder was the best we've ever eaten (east or west coast). My husband ordered fish and chips and I had the fried calamari. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. Marty (the owner) took the time to meet & talk with us during the busy lunchtime, and made us feel very welcome. The ambiance was clean, casual and comfortable. The menu offered a nice variety and was reasonably priced. The ample portions were more than adequate: We took home leftovers, & skipped dinner. We live in San Jose, & usually go to Santa Cruz when dining out for seafood, as we are very picky about having only fresh seafood; but we think driving the extra few minutes is definitely worth the trip over to Half Moon Bay for a great meal at the Princeton Seafood Company restaurant. Not at all pretentious, just a really nice down-to-earth place to eat.
Clam chowder rocks!. The food is great, and so is the atmosphere! I would definitely recommend this place. Their clam chowder is the best I have ever tasted, anywhere, period. My best hint? Sign up for their e-club--they give you these awesome coupons.
Great customer service. Seafood was very fresh. They pulled crab from the market even though they did not have it on the menu. The wait staff was very friendly.
