Had My Feet on the Ground w/ Gravity. I normally will not be out on a Monday night, but I had had dinner in the city & a gal pal begged me to come sit with her since she just came back from out of the country & she was restless. I agreed & thought, but it's Monday, nothing is gonna be jumping on a Monday. I was wrong. We arrived close to 11pm and it steadily began filling up. People coming from work, locals, & regulars. It has large booths on the right that were comfortable. There was music but we were able to carry on conversation w/ out yelling. My friend is a regular, so she mentioned she has been here when a random celebrity or two pops in to relax. I sipped her cranberry/vodka(really cant mess that up), but I stuck to water. The DJ played a variety of music. Some people danced, some just talked, & others just watched. It didn't feel like a "pick-up" spot. Everyone was polite & friendly. If you wanted to just sit & watch TV you can do that also w/ their 3 flat screens & subtitles left on for your enjoyment. The promoter said they had been @ that location for 7 years & was thinking about trying somewhere new. Why? If you have a nice crowd & a good thing going, keep it running! One thing negative, watch out ladies in the restroom, the step up to the toilet can be a doozy!(you will know when you see it)The elevated fireplace is a nice touch to the bar area. Very cozy!

Good DJ, Good People, Good Times! .. Bouncers Questionable. Well lets just say this is my new hot spot for going out on Friday night! After a long week at work, Im ready to get loose and "accidently" throw back one too many drinks. Great place to be single and mingle! Or mingle as in finding yourself being groped on the dance floor (not that Im complaining). One downfall, the bouncers need to stay where I first see them, at the entrance and not trying to get down on the dancefloor with me. I guess the one bouncer who approached me had just gotten off his shift and took a likin' to me. Well hey babe, Im looking but Im not a likin back. Thank god for Matt who served me the best drinks and I found myself wanting to squeeze him like teddy bear. His braces are so cute! He even took a shot with us! This place is fun for dancing in the Marina, but REMEMBER the party doesnt start until at least 11 there or AT LEAST UNTIL I GET THERE! Im always down to pop lock and drop it and this is where I can actually do it!

Average bar. This is another average bar on the list. We occasionally stop in for one cocktail and head onto the other venues. The crowd can get really silly looking. The average age seems to range around 21 and its kinda obvious. Its not bad, but just average.

good music, nice looking crowd. this place gets pretty crowded, so be sure to snag a spot in one of the booths if you can. Nice looking crowd and the DJ definitely knows what songs to play to get people moving. Try to get on the guestlist or its a 5 dollar cover.

Free entry and a charged-up crowd drive Marina hotties to this small dance spot.. In Short
A giant gold-and-red brushed-metal fireplace makes the space pop, while projections resembling a psychedelic waterfall cover two walls. Flirtatious 20-something singles clamor for drinks at the long tile-backed bar and are treated to classic movies played on three flat-screen TVs hanging overhead. Patrons are style-conscious, but capacity crowds do more than pose, contributing to a lively party vibe with dance-floor action of the grinding kind.

No cover, reserved FREE booths, friendly bartenders. As a former Marina chick, I used to avoid going out in the Marina. Only after I moved, did I return to party for a girlfriend's bachelorette at Gravity. It is a great place where you can drink, lounge and dance. Not too big, not too small...just right! Wished I had gone there more often when I was a singleton!

Arrogoant Bouncers and Lame Crowd. I cannot warn people enough to stay away from this place.

The pompous bouncer at the door thinks that

1. it is *HIS* bar (yeah right, like his minimum wage making self could afford to buy a bar)

2. Gravity is the only bar in a 4000 mile radius... so you'd better beg to come in

3. he owns the sidewalk AND most of the Street

4. he is Awesome and ALL the ladies LOVE him

HAQ!

If getting past that guy weren't awful enough - *seriously* reason enough to stay away all together - once inside the place has a horrible lay out... long waits for mediocre drinks... ALL dudes... and an all around unwelcoming vibe. Not a place to mix and mingle with fun people.

YUCK!

Gravity is simply the best around!. If you like hip hop, reggae/dancehall, like a big crowd that knows how to have fun, and drinks that keep a comin, you will find Gravity the place to be! I recommend going Mondays as that is hip hop night. If you go at about 12:30am - 1:00am you will find the last hour of the party is way live, ladies from sf-elite love it, along with all the positive reviews - we all can't be wrong - try it yourself and you too will soon be "doin too much"

One of the best in the city. What a great spot! A friend of mine had his graduation party here, and everyone had a blast. There was no cover, great drinks, friendly people, and great music. Mostly an upscale crowd and hip hop type music. The dance floor is quite small, but all the better if you're trying to rub up against a hottie. The only big problem was finding parking, as the lots were full. So make sure you go early.

Come here for fun times!. I went for a friend's bday last saturday night and had a blast! The music started off weird (some 1980s tracks) but quickly picked up to hip-hop as the crowds came. The ppl were mostly late 20-something/early 30s, friendly, and good looking. Overall, this club has a very social feel. The bouncers are NOT on a power trip and the bartenders are fast. If you have a big group, call ahead to reserve one of their huge booths (there's only 3 or 4) because, otherwise, there's not much space to sit. With free cover, a good crowd/music, and friendly service, Gravity is the place to be on saturday nights!
