The Scene – D'Asaro has it all: a warm, rustic room with white tablecloths, earthenware urns, and a marble counter glistening with antipasti, plus a huge, sun-drenched patio. Diners from Foster City to the Woodside heights--even sheepish emigrants from the City--have embraced it. – – The Food – Chef Christopher Fernandez, who started at Oliveto and earned his first stars at Crescent Grill, understands the subtleties of Italian cooking. The roast chicken comes sizzling from the wood-fired oven accompanied by farro pilaf. The Caesar salad is graced by an uncanny touch…
Our Favorite Spot!

Dasaro's is our favorite restaurant. First of all, the restaurant is likely the most beautiful on the penninsula. The food is delicious! We love the NY Steak. The bucatini pasta is to die for. Caesar salad has a unique twist and becomes very addictive. (We crave it now!) The wine list is extensive and the managers & staff are great at helping to select a fine bottle. Service is very attentive and friendly. Great atmosphere. We love to take our family & friends or go out just the two of us for a romantic meal. We HIGHLY recommend Dasaros.

I recently dined at D'asaro with a friend and had an excellent meal! Great caesar salad and the semolina gnocchi are to die for. great wine list with a wide variety of italian wines. our server was friendly, yet lacked a lot of wine knowledge. Manager came around and was chatting with tables...very friendly and classy young man.
Disapointing

I had been to Dasaro three times before and I was always impressed by the quality of the food. So, when a friend suggested we meet there for dinner I was eager and happy. I started with a salad that was so overloaded with vinegar as to make eating it a mouth puckering contest. For the main plate I had chosen gnocci. The gnocci themselves were OK, not overcooked but they were soaked in a sauce that was extremely salty. To finish, expecting to at least leave with a good desert, I ordered the tiramisu. The tiramisu had the consistency of tapioca. Given that this restaurant is not cheap, I believe that the food was way under expectations. Maybe this was just one of their bad nights but I hesitate to go back and spend another $100 to find out if they can do better.
