What People Are Saying About International Orange Spa

The Scene – It's not in New York City, but this spa seems like it should be. Staff wears all black to complement the interior, which is white with a splash of color. In the massage and facial rooms, only a hint of decor is visible when lying face down and staring at a stark plate of white roses. Before a treatment, you can make a plate of cheese and fresh fruit, and unwind in a sunny spot on the back deck. – – The Services – Any of the aromatherapy deep-tissue massages are recommended. Each massage is tailored to your level of pressure and feels like an endless wave…

I go for the yoga
by pprichard , Citysearch Contributor at Citysearch
I've been going here for yoga classes for almost 4 years. Some teachers come and go, but the best ones are still there. I like IO for the ambience of the yoga studio (hardwood floors, lots of light) and the class options, but also for the other students that go. I've met a lot of nice people at class. I also go to the spa for waxing, facials and - when I have the extra cash - massages. The spa is small, but I like the steam room in the Women's locker room and the deck out back. I've always had a great massage, but the services are on the expensive side. Sign up for email specials.
- Pros: great yoga teachers and even better students
- Cons: good spa, but expensive
Ilya is the Best Massage Therapist!!
by SFVisitor at Citysearch
I was visiting San Francisco and had a Spafinder gift certificate. I scheduled a massage at International Orange and lucked out with Ilya. It was, by far, the best massage I have ever had. A real focus on relaxation and reducing stress. I will be back on every visit to SF!!
- Pros: Very focused on relaxation/stress reduction, Nice Atmosphere

After hearing all the hype about this place I finally made it in. I was a bit disappointed. The atmosphere was not relaxing at all, I felt cramped and awkward. The actual massage was just average. It was not spa like at all.
SF WEEKLY's BEST Spa & Yoga Combo 2008
by LuxGirl at Citysearch
I just picking up SF Weekly's BEST OF SAN FRANCISCO 2008 and saw that IO is rated BEST SPA & YOGA COMBO! I took some of my own medicine this week and am feeling more revved up than ever thanks to my wellness routine this week. Today, I had an amazing yoga with Rosemary at 9:15am and yesterday I had a truly pampering and shoulder-softening 90 minute massage with Christy. I am biased, but I love what we offer at IO and just wanted to share the good news. Try going during the weekday sometime and pray for sun on the deck...that is heavenly. :) AD
- Pros: Deck out back, Yoga+Spa combo, Excellent Customer Service
- Cons: Parking can be tricky midday so leave extra time
