completely unreliable and poor customer service. i was left standing in the rain when i needed to be en route to the airport. the van never showed up and when i called i was told that i needed to make my own way there and that no refund was possible. i will not be using them ever again. another reviewer (on yelp) reports a nearly identical experience on 12/17/2010, so this was not an isolated event.
Best Customer Service Ever!.
My Super Shuttle driver RULED! I was picked up in Oakland and headed to SFO. I went about my business and headed to the ticket counter only to discover that I had lost my cell phone. FRAK! I was screwed, I thought. I don't know anyone's number by heart...except my ex's. How was I going to check in with my neighbor who was watching my cat while I was away. Anyway, a nice young lad in line before me lent me his cell phone and I called the dispatcher over at Super Shuttle. They contacted the driver, but he couldn't locate the phone. I was resigned to have lost it forever. Then, I decided to call my phone to see if anyone picked it up. No answer. I was glum.
I headed to the gate awaiting my plane when I heard my name being called to go to the ticket counter. Sweet, I thought, maybe I was getting upgraded. They had my cellphone!!!!! The driver had found it and returned to SFO where he had then brought it to NWA ticket counter. Their excellent customer service went well above and beyond.

Another BAD Shuttle Service. Reservation was originally made with Susan at M & M Shuttle Service. The pick up at 1 address in the East Bay for 8 people was beautiful - on time, pleasant and just what 8 family members needed for an long, international flight. The gentleman told us he was a contractor for M & M in the East Bay. The return shuttle trip was less than pleasant. - and I will tell EVERYONE I KNOW - NOT TO USE SUPER SHUTTLE - no training, no customer service at all! When I called the 800 # for M & M Shuttle and asked who I was speaking to...and I was told his name was Vince. I was told by Vince that M & M was bought out by Super Shuttle. I told Vince that I had a current reservation with M & M and said that I hoped that Super Shuttle was honoring those reservations and tried to give Vince the reservation # from M & M. Vince said they didn't have those reservations or #'s. I asked if they would still pick us up from our M&M reservation? Vince said yes. I told him that there were 8 people at SFO ready for pick up and to be brought to the East Bay (1 desti-nation for all 8 people). He said they could do that. I asked the cost he told me $85. I repeated back one location for $85. He said "Yes, ma'am". Upon arrival of Super Shuttle Van #641 on 10/16 at about 9 p.m., the driver smelled like a dead cigarette,, ir 4 and so did the van. He was mad because he "only drives the peninsula". So he flung our suitcases in the back of the van and headed the wrong way to the East Bay on Hwy 101. We turned him around.Got to the destination and he wanted $125. I told him that I confirmed with Vince several times tonight that the fare was $85. The driver continued to argue and yell at me and showed me a table on his clipboard with the rate of $125. I told him to speak to his dispatcher about some training of their people. He started yelling and screaming at me and I just gave him the $125 to get him out of here without incident. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE - DON'T USE SUPER SHUTTLE!!!!!!!
Poor customer service from Bay Area Super Shuttle provider; also, lack of response from Quality Assurance rep..
I am extremely disappointed with the service that I have received from Super Shuttle in the Bay area. Recently, I drafted a letter and sent it via return receipt requested to one, Adrianne Andrews, Quality Assurance representative for San Francisco.
The communication was received and signed for by one, Sarah; unfortunately, Andrianne Andrews did not deem my communication and request for a return call important. Thus, to-date, I still have not gotten a reply back from this representative of "Quality Assurance." I would very much like to make this information known to all, as well as, get a letter to the corporate head-quarters.
I was told by one of the internal supervisors that drivers are independant operators and do not have to transport passengers; also, they can charge whatever rate they choose during the late evening hours. Especially if things are slow and it's deemed as not being worth their while to transport a passenger on one of their regular routes without tremendously increasing or inflating the rate.
The lack of response from Super Shuttle's "Quality Assurance" person and the poor attitude and poor display of customer service by this driver and the local representative, have left a very bad taste on my tongue and conscience. I would definitely encourage other riders viewing this site and considering services from this entity to consider looking elsewhere.
Worst Customer Service EVER. My driver was EARLY to pick me up and refused to wait for the scheduled time. I called Super Shuttle to see if they could send someone else and they said yes. 20 minutes later when no on showed, I called back. I was transferred to dispatch and was forced to speak with Victor. He was the dumbest most condescending man on the planet...which I would have told him except for the fact that I needed his help. After lecturing me for 15 minutes and telling me not only would I not be reimbursed for my pre-paid shuttle service, but they would not be liable if I missed my flight, Victor finally told me that they would not be sending another van my way. He kept trying to argue with me and keep me on the phone. I finally hung up with him screaming I had to get off the phone since I now had to call a cab, (which I could have done a 1/2 hour earlier). Thankfully I made my flight. At first customer service was helpful, and then nothing. I left messages every day with no follow up. When I finally spoke with a representative she said they'd sent me a letter denying my claim, (there was no letter). They claimed the driver waited for me, and I didn't show...which he didn't. I was outside waiting for the next shuttle 5 minutes after I called to say the driver had left me. They said they'd review my claim again and get back to me...they never did. All I asked was to be reimbursed for the ride I didn't get. They said no. That would have been the absolute LEAST they should have done. I will never use their service again. Not to mention, there are many more people with bad Super Shuttle stories, which I discovered when telling mine. I'm suprised they don't have more bad reviews. If you've been disserviced by Super Shuttle, please fight back in the smallest way possible. Write a review.
Super Shuttle is the worst Bay Area shuttle service available..
Super Shuttle's level of customer service is pathetic and they do not hold to their reservations reliably.
I recently flew in to at Oakland airport at 1:30AM. Previous to my flight, I had made a reservation with Super Shuttle to be picked up at 1:30AM and they had taken my credit card info to confirm my pickup. Upon arrival, I followed their instructions and called their phone number, providing the confirmation number. I told the Super Shuttle agent that I had to get my bags and that I would be there in 10-15 minutes for the shuttle ride. Upon getting my bags, I went to the shuttle pick up and was told that their shuttle had just left. I called Super Shuttle to understand when the next shuttle will arrive and they said the shuttle is done for the night and that they could not do anything for me. They were extremely rude and they did not care that they had left me stranded at the airport.
Late, almost missed the flight.
Post script: In spite of a number of emailed complaints to Suppershuttle, absolutley no response or apology.... Terrible way to run a business.
We waited about an hour past the appointed pick up time for our Van. Frequent calls to the dispatch center were at first completely unanswered, and then when given our confirmation number, they kept claiming that we were calling for an LAX reservation when were in fact in San Francisco. Eventually after frequent assurances that the van was near, it finally showed up. The driver took an inefficient route to the freeway on ramp, and we eventually got to the airport in the nick of time. Another passenger on our van who was supposed to be on our same flight did not make the flight. I've tried these shuttle services before and invariably regret using them, this time was no exception. Do yourself a favor, and take BART to and from the airport, or have yourself dropped at a hotel served by the larger airporter bus, you'll be glad you did. SuperShuttle will be hearing from me shortly.
