In Short – This Marina eatery draws a family-friendly crowd with its atypical fast food. Order from the counter and take a seat. The menu's specialty is gourmet skewers served with sides such as garlic mashed potatoes and citrus couscous. Options vary depending on availability, but expect dishes like herb salmon dressed with lemon-wine vinaigrette and chicken or beef in a Coca-Cola-based "Thai" marinade.

If you like artichokes and grilled skewers then this is the place for you!

by leahpalmer

This has got to be the best food I have ever had in my life! Great prices too! I live in Sacramento CA and I have never felt like I needed to drive 2 hours just to eat somewhere and Asqew Grill makes me CRAVE their food. Everything is grilled so while it is super tasy ,it is super healthy as well. After eating their food you don't feel bogged down and gross. I highly recomend the artichoke starter. It has a sauce I believe called soy beurre blanc...that is absolutely to die for. The sauce is an absolute explosion of flavors in your mouth. I get the artichoke all to myself along with a skewer platter...and I won't share....thats how good it is:-) I have pretty much had every thing on the menu as far as the skewers go and I have yet to be disappointed. My favorite is the grilled ahi tuna. The best salad in my opinion is the grilled pear, yum, yum!I have only been to the one location on the marina. I wish they would build an Asqew in or near Sacramento...Anyways you must try this place! P.S. the banana split is amazing too!

  • Pros: Fresh healthy food served in a very timely manner!
  • Cons: There is not an Asqew closer or in Sacramento:-(

Different meal every time!

by robyn74

I rarely order the same thing twice here yet it's always good. It does seem a little pricey but it's filling and yummy. It's a shame because I always forget about this place unless I am walking right by it, but it really hits the spot. I've seen the catering truck but I always forget about that too!!

  • Pros: Delicious and can be healthy
  • Cons: Doesn't look that clean behind the counter

Good food on a stick

by bg123

A fun little counter-service restaurant with quite a few menu options and good food. I ordered the BBQ chicken, which comes with corn on the cob and onions on the skewer, and garlic mashed potatoes. It was very good, although the mashed potatoes were super-creamy (I like a little more texture) and all my other food sunk into them. I think a salad would have been a better choice. My husband had lamb and Caesar salad, which he enjoyed. We both ordered the half portion (one skewer instead of two) so we would have room for the grilled brownie sundae. Even so, it was too much for the two of us to finish! On our Sunday night visit, service was friendly and efficient, and the place was doing a good business without being too crowded. Overall, thumbs up!

  • Pros: lots of choices, good food
